Dave Hyde thinks we can sign Suh, Franklin, Gore and Royal and still be able to negotiate with RT?? This is following the release of Wheeler and Ellerbe... Not sure I really see how this is possible

If we sign Suh and Franklin this off season it might be the best off season we've had in a long, long time. I don't think its possible, but maybe.

There's simply no way to sign Suh or Franklin when Miami is giving players like Clay 7 million this season.
Miami will sign Clay and Odrick to overpriced salaries and somehow feel good about it, meanwhile letting real difference making player (or plays w. upside and ceiling) to go to other teams.

I'd be good w no Gore. Guy was a stud for me in years past on my FF teams but he can't carry the load anymore. We need a bruiser to compliment Miller.
I gotta be honest I don't think the Ireland years would not have been as bad, had he been able to draft at all. Not to mention our coaching has been lackluster to say the least. We have always seem to make a play for good free agents. Hopefully Hickey can nail these next few drafts and we can connect the dots finally. With or without Failbin
This just confirms how little David Hyde understands about player market values and managing a roster with salary cap limitations. He is guilty of fueling speculation for big free agent additions and anything less will be regarded as unsatisfactory. Disappointed that Hyde didn't find the monopoly money to add Andre Johnson, Julius Thomas, Devin McCourty and Mark Sanchez (strictly as a backup QB), as well.
Would we sign Clay away from a team like the Bengals for 7 million a year? Would we do the same for an Odrick? I love both players because they are Phins but right now they are no more a Dolphin that any other free agent. I would rather pay top dollar for one dominant guy instead of 3 above average players. The dropoff from Odrick to the next guy will be hardly noticeable. The dropoff from Clay might be a lot bigger. Having Suh in the Dline will be a night and day difference.

We could definitely do this. We would just have to have those players have low cap hits this year, and try to make sure that they did not have giant hits on the same years. I don't know why we would sign Royal or Gore though...
Hyde is terrible so no surprise he thinks this would happen or be a good move.

I think it's possible...if we don't sign any of our draft picks. Why not just release the whole team and sign all free agents?
