Let's pause here to let you pick your jaw off the floor. A Dolphins coach actually talking straight and with emotion? It's been so long I've forgotten what that sounds like.
"It irritates me," Gase said of the offense. "You get to practice one time a day and you have a limited amount of practices and how many times are you going to be in pads? I think it's like 22 for the whole year. To not take advantage of that, it's bothersome."

Ladies and Gents we have a coach

Our damn o-line needs to have a fire lit under their ass. They need to start practicing and playing like they have some pride. Man up!!!

Gase addresses the offense in general not just the OL. Every offensive player has to respond in the next practice

Finally a coach that knows what he's talking about and not afraid to call out crappy play.

"Just a shame, just a shame out there for the offense." - Chris Perkins.

And what happens when they don't respond? It's not like we can just go out and replace twenty-five players between now and the end of training camp.

My favorite part:

It's become a rite of summer for new Dolphins coaches to set their program. Remember Cam Cameron's, "Fail Forward Fast?" Or Tony Sparano's "Feed the Wolf?" Or Philbin picking up litter at lockers on "Hard Knocks?"

With Gase having a reputation as an offensive guru, I wonder if the offense is sleepwalking a bit (subconsciously) thinking they just need to show up. Someone on the offense has to step up and hold the unit accountable - love for it to be Tannehill (remember how Marino glared if you so much as dropped a ball) - but it can be Pouncey or Landry of whoever. The players need to play w heart and not think that just because they have a genius diagramming plays that all they need do do is go through the motions.

Then you end up with another ****ty year and another new coach in a few years...

Where is the fire in the offense? I know Landry has it, but is he really the only one? Our offense is soft. I can't believe even with Foster coming out of the backfield they couldn't get one real first down? With all the pressure and supposedly bad LB's and CB's we can't get any screens going to one of the most screen-friendly RB's in the league over the last 7 or 8 years? Once again our o-line looks like they are scared to fight back. I really hope the o-line doesn't derail yet another season.

Welcome to Miami Dolphins football Coach. They've pulled this "show up flat" crap for years.
If only Tannehill was still in to lead his infamous right before halftime field goal drive where the offense finally moves the ball

Gase sounds extremely disappointed and from the stat line I can see why. No energy from the offense and the D line in the backfield all practice long.

Of course, with Saturday's tongue-lashing, Gase showed you Exhibit A of how he's different from his predecessor, Joe Philbin. And you'd think the speech he gave to the media would be calm compared to what he gave to his players.

Hopefully they respond.

This is the one thing I won't make an excuse for Tannehill on. It's your offense son....take ****ing charge of it.
