Are the Dolphins working on a contract extension with Ryan Tannehill? Well, one source said it's being discussed with a framework being a seven-year contract worth about $105 million (depending on incentives). The numbers and details remain in flux, depending on what structure for the deal is decided on. But the general idea is a contract of about $15 million annually that guarantees the first two years (these years are typically higher than the average of the contract), gives a team option in the third year and a player option in the final two years.

so much for that won't reach $70 mil talk last offseason...

Dawn? Are you actually working? lol

inquiry minds want to know.

Premature. Lets take 2 mores years to see if he can develop into someone we can actually win playoff games with. So far he hasn't shown me enough. Being stuck in QB purgatory with a mediocre player at the most important position is the worst scenario of all.

That's about the minimum for a long term starting QB in this league.

if he does do that 7 year at $15 mil per with that final 2 years a player option he will opt out then and sign another massive contract...this kids the qb for the next decade...get used to it

we in good hands

if i'm his agent though i'm not signing a kaepernick or dalton guaranteed money pact...it's not enough...bet on yourself ryan...miami would make out damn well if they got those first 5 years at that rate though

You are definitely a massive Tannehill fanboy lmao. You talk about him like he is your own kid.

Not sure I believe much of what Hyde "breaks".

They know what they got here...The kid is going to be a freak no doubt about it!!!

Smart of the team.

Take his tag money ($15) work that into the guarantee plus some. Team option 3rd year, player option 4-5.....

Lock him up on the cheap.

Not bad.
