Here’s what heaven looks like in July. No quarterback controversy. No coach on the hot seat. No general manager not talking to the coach not talking to other team executives. No Bullygate. No orange carpet. There aren’t even questions about missing the playoffs, since the Dolphins just made them.
Owner Steve Ross sits at the Dolphins complex after Thursday’s first practice of training camp and is asked if, finally, conclusively – at the start of Year Nine – he has the organizational planets aligned in the manner that point toward winning.

Have never liked Ross and hated a great majority of his decisions but maybe he has learned and hired the right person.

Nine years in, hmm. Well, let's hope these next nine have this team as a consistent playoff participant. Which would be a complete 180 from what we've seen.

Wow, jesus has it been 9 years already? Every year kind of lumps together and gets lost when it came to football. Hopes up, season progresses, offseason of what ifs, hope feeling, rinse and repeat. While it has been a learning curve for Ross, he has corrected some of his mistakes and is doing all he can to further the franchise. More importantly though, he is aiming to help the players, community, even threw his own money at stadium for the hopes of landing a superbowl to flush the community with money(and to show off his new stadium toy honestly), he has done more then Wayne H. appeared to do and seems to honestly care, can't ask for much more out of a owner.

Ross has turned into a great owner, no complaints.

Agreed, would love to see him really start seeing major success - he's a good owner. Regardless of prior record, i have no doubts he is dedicated to winning, he leaves the football mostly to the football guys, and does not make impulse rash decisions. He, along with plenty of other members of this team, i'll be happy to see get some recognition as winners.

I've never been a big fan. Wasn't a fan of basically any of his hires outside of Gase, hated the celebrity owner nonsense, trying to get the city to pay for his stadium after those people were already fleeced by the Marlins - then subsequently bitching about it - was pretty weak, Mike freaking Tannenbaum, etc..

Gase was a huge, positive step. I'll really change my tune if he can manage to put his foot down so we stop losing home games playing in England. That is so ****ed (especially if Miami doesn't get a SB, presumably the reason he's letting us get raped in the first place).

We have 2020 super bowl hosted in South Florida, and I believe this upcoming season is the last of us in the UK.

Disregard the England stuff then. I guess that did pay off. Didn't hear about us winning that bid.

Much like always, we didn't get much press about it, we got squeezed between ATL getting it in 2019 for their fancy new stadium and LA getting it in 2021 for having teams back there I guess lol

Can tell our marketing and design team had a hand in that based on the forced color scheme and the way you can tell they tried to keep it "fresh" but yet still outdated with font in MIAMI. This is what it has come to, Ross is not a good owner as of midnight EST until he fires the marketing and design team!

I am sorry but the Dolphins have been very lucky with our owners (Can not say that about the Marlins). They have never been cheap and have spent the money to make our team better. Everyone gets on his case about the whole trying to hire a coach with one still under contract. It was the right decision but he should have done it differently. He has always tried to put a winning team on the field for us. Not like a lot of owners out there more worried about making money now.

so they were trying to marry the past to the present? maybe you personally dont like it, but maybe it shows they accomplished their goal. i think its okay.

I think it's fine. Those colors are reminiscient to Miami. The font kind of looks like our end zones. Here is some of the past host logos.
