Hyde5: Five questions about odd Larry Johnson signing

Marion Barber, Mcgahee, ronnie,ricky, ben jarvis, brandon jackson, le'ron mcclain, jason snelling were all out there to be had and could of filled the void of a goal line veteran back, this signing does not make any sense to me at all. why would we risk bringing in a guy who could be a cancer to the lockeroom, it just does not make sense to me.

Think it is possible that the front office had a little bit of faith in Sheets going into the season and wanted to see what he could do? Now all of those guys have been picked up by someone else, and they now know that Sheets has nothing... Better to cut the losses and see if they can bring someone else in for the last two weeks. People are making a huge deal out of nothing. Johnson WAS NOT signed to be our featured back, NOT even our second option... He is there to push Lex and give some tips on power running to Thomas... I would not be surprised if he is let go and we pick someone else up when other teams start cutting their rosters...

Can anyone honestly say they were satisfied with sheets at any point of his nfl career? So moves like this are fine with me.

His 1st point, he must be an idiot to not know why they didn't bring Ricky back. He shot his mouth off, good riddance.

His 2nd point, wow I mean is he living in a dif universe. One is a WR and one is a RB, errr. We were in no need of another big WR.

Because the Pats and Jets have a proven track record of making those kinds of players better, while the Dolphins do not.

Precisely...these 'character issue' guys somehow end up flourishing in NE and flaming out in Miami.

Why is it when the Dolphins sign a non-productive guy with character issues its the worst move in the history of the game, and when the Pats or Jets do it its a move with enormous potential upside?

My instincts are off. I thought Sheets showed exciting quickness and good initiative last 2 games. This curse is catching up with more than I realize.
