Definitely looks like Miami finally has a plan. I think there's still a ways to go, but it looks like the team has its quarterback of the future, possibly the right head coach, and are moving in the right direction. I'm not sure when was the last time we could say that. Maybe as far back as Marino/Shula.It feels to me like the Dolphins are starting to become relevant again. Its hard to predict how this season will go with the shortened preseason, but Im super happy we have 2 guys at the top (Grier and Flores) who appear to be working well together in putting a sustainable plan in place for future success.
There shouldn't be anything for the Lions fans to say. Their best two players ever retired in their prime instead of staying Lions.I live in Michigan. People ask me why I'm a dolphins fan. I tell them Dan Marino is my Barry Sanders. The rest are bears fans. I say with utmost respect, Ricky was the greatest. C'mon tua, let's give Miami fans something to talk about
No matter which team had drafted a Tua, that team would becomerelevant in the eyes of the media. Because of his success in college and coming off major surgery, he was going to receive a lot of media hype and therefore that means more attention being given to the Dolphins.
Of course the attention will only last if Tua is able to play at the high level many expect him to and if the Dolphins actually become a playoff team in the next few years. If they end up remaining a mediocre team and Tua doesn’t have the success we all hope he will, the attention will quickly fade again.
