Hypothetical QB Sitch: Moore, Garrard, Mallett

This is not April '83 where information was limited, rumor got gossiped individually, and generally wouldn't be touched by what was more legitimate media back then. And even as such, Marino based on his "bad character" rumors went very late first round. Can anybody really say that in this media hungry, uncredentialed environment, Marino wouldn't necessarily have slipped as far as Mallett if not further down? Again, shame on this team of all of them, for letting Mallett slide past the 2nd round with the history and resulting success we had by opportunistically capitalizing on Marino's diminished market value.

You are ignoring the fact that Mallett admitted, during the draft process, that he actually did have drug and alcohol issues. On top of his off the field issues, Mallett is a complete stiff in the pocket and doesn't seem like the type of guy I would want to be the leader of my franchise. I believe that the QB should be the smartest, hardest working player on the whole team and Mallett sure didn't strike me as that type of guy.

Can you give us a link because I never saw that.

And once again, Brady and Manning are also stiffs in the pocket, but they have great arms. He played and won in the SEC.
 
Lol why are we wasting time discussing a qb not even on the fins? Seriously, Mallett was not even a first round talent before his off the field issues. I can't believe how many people on this site think Mallett is the savior. Mallett=Henne period! Move on people...lol Mallett will carry a clipboard his whole career. We have had enough clip board holders on this team....we need an actual QB now.lol
