one of the best in the league... Before this season I went on a rage about how mediocre Chambers was. Not only did I rush to conclusion on this but I forgot to rationalize the position he was put in... For many seasons Chambers was doubled teamed.... On top of that he was in an offense designed to run the ball. Lastly Chambers had the worst quarterback in the league, Jay Fiedler, throwing the ball to him. Any of these 3 factors would make it hard for a receiver to put up good numbers. Chambers was put into the worst case scenerio his first 5 years of his pro career. When he finally had a below average quarterback(still better than Fiedler), he put up some of the best numbers in the league. This shows me that Chambers is capable of being one of the top 3 wide receivers in the league. He will finally have a great quarterback throwing to him. Chambers has never had this opportunity before. Culpepper makes mediocre players look good. I cant even imagine how good Chambers will be with Culpepper. It is really going to be exciting to finally utalize Chambers the way he should be. I just wanted to say that Chambers has what it takes to succeed. I was wrong for blaming him on the mess that wanny had caused. All of you who may still doubt Chambers will see that he is an elite NFL receiver this season.

ive always liked chambers and always felt confident in him that he would be a big time wide reciver but this year he really suprised a lot of us and i think hes only going to get better this year with culpepper and start putting up some BIG numbers

Chambers still drops too many balls to be elite. Chris, catch the ball with your HANDS, not your chest!

Chambers doesnt have great numbers but he has good numbers (stats wise) but you have to think that Chambers has been through like 4 or 5 different offensive cordinators and like 5 different QB's who pretty much suck. Hes always been a playmaker and always makeing INSANE catches...If anything hes underated

I know I might be killed for saying this but...

Let's not jump to conclusions about C. Chambers. He has had 1 great season and some decent ones. I am a dolfan to the max, but C. Chambers has to build on last season with this one. He has to be productive all season, not just half like he did last year. He can not disapper in games like he did sometimes last year. Great WR's dont usually disapper in games (note: Terrell Owens, Marvin Harrison, Jerry Rice in his prime) not going to say Randy Moss, because in my opinion Moss is a decent reciever but not a great one. I feel Chambers will be a great reciever if we get another threat at reciever!!

I agree with you. He isn't elite. Marvin Harrison, Chad Johnson, Randy Moss, TO, are elite. He's good and has the ability to become an elite WR. Seriously not knocking him, just saying he has some more work to do.

^Nah Chambers has never had a pro bowl QB to throw the ball to him

Marvin Harrison has Peyton Manning (pro bowl)

Randy Moss had Cullpepper (pro bowl)

Chad Johnson has Carson Palmer (pro bowl

Steve Smith has Jake Delhome (pro bowl)

this year it will be ......

Chambers and Cullpepper (pro bowlers)!!!!!!

A guy who comes back and publicly wipes the egg off his own face, now there's a novelty on this board!

Seriously, if Chambers repeats last year you are right he WILL become an elite reciever. He isn't yet because he hasn't been consistent. Do it twice and he will be well on the road.

I admit I was wrong. Takes a pair to stand up and say that, pay attention boys, that's how MEN do things.:cooldude:

I like chambers too, I am real curious to see how he does this year. But to be honest good players get it done in big spots and if you look at last year chambers did not play well when it mattered and when we were out of it he started to light it up... I am sorry but in my book that just doesn't cut it. In the biggest game of the year against the pats he dropped arguably 4 to 6 balls and stunk the place up....

I thought that play against the Bills mattered since it won the game. Give Chambers a real QB which he has now and then make a judgement. Chambers has made alot of big catches, it just seems memories are real short.
