Over the last couple of years, I wasn't the biggest Joey Harrington fan. He had a ton of pressure on him in Detroit and didn't work out for them, but I think he will make a very good backup in Miami, and for the price of a 2007 6th round draft pick, this is very good news for the Miami Dolphins.

As I did a little research on Harrington, I've come to the conclusion that he is better than any quarterback we had on our roster last year -- AND HE WILL BE OUR BACKUP QB!!!! When Coach Saban said he wanted to improve the QB situation, he stuck to his word.

Since it looks like Daunte will miss a few games this year, I think with Nick Saban's coaching, he can refine Harrington's game and turn him into a more accurate and younger Gus Frerotte, possibly much more. And how cool would that be if he plays really well when called upon? Not just for the sake of victory, but he could become great trade bait. I'm getting a little ahead of myself, but I am just so glad to see our QB situation getting to be a strength again, something we haven't been able to say since the mid 90s.

GO DOLPHINS!

(and welcome Joey Harrington!)

AMEN....brotha! Another great move for our beloved franchise. A back-up quarterback who has NFL experience as a STARTER! For a great price!

I'm not a joey harrington fan at all, but i mean were giving up nearly nothing and he is gonna be our backup. If it was joey being a starter i would be upset, hes a viable option.

It it happens, I'm just happy we'll have someone experienced come opening day. Plus, it really allows us to take the best available player with our first pick...

+1

I wanted Collins, but at least it isn't Maddux backing us up.

My only worry is that he is not very well liked in the locker room. If he has to start the season for us, I hope the rest of the team will be behind him or it may be a rough start for us.
