After re watching all the games---DVDR

I realized a few things..

Only 2 players I would like to keep are...Y.Bell and W. Allen...Jason Allen has to show me something and Lehan has to show me more

Bell is the best...he plays with swagger...
Allen is maybe a lil above avg...

The rest..Thrash..

1.They play with no swagger.
2.They play safe..(Let receiever catch the ball then try to tackle) notice I mentioned try to tackle.
3. They dont jump routes...They arent good at reading the qbs eyes...
4. They rarely play bump and run....maybe scared of getting burnt..(the past is still stuck in their heads)
5. Suck at tackling....too small maybe
6. No Hands...I understand a few drops here and there but how do you miss the oppertunity to put the game away I dunno...
7. Easy to figure out and game plan against...I fear that all the qb has to do is do 3 step drops and run quick passing plays...Thats why we havent seen much deep balls thrown from our opponents...

Is it more the scheme or is it the players..Might be a little bit of both....I think these coaches need to focus on tackling more and reading the qb...It seems you cant teach this talent though...Our corners just dont have much instincts.

I tottaly agree but If im BP im doing everything i can to try to get Ty Law or anybody thats good to come to MIami im making a push and an offer that cant be refused

You know what has really stood out about Jason Allen? He isnt making ST tackles anymore. At least last year he wasnt starting but he was contributing via ST. Now he does NOTHING

I would counter with that IMO he is the only one doing anything on special teams. He is a flyer, teams put like 3 guys on him, they know nobody else can make a tackle.

Glad you brought that important fact up and we need to see what JA can do no the field in game time. He did it last year when given the chance why not give him the same chance again how much do you think we have to loose?

Whats up with London? can he catch a ball?...And did Wilford and hagan turn into special teamers and WR blockers only now?

The opposing QB passer rating is 99.1. Yikes. It was high last year, when we didn't get many sacks. It's high this year, where this is more pressure. Time to scrap it and start over. Allen/Goodman/Lehan isn't quite the same as when we had Madison/Surtain/Buckley. And Renaldo Hill isn't that good either.

Its really easy to break down because the secondary just flat out lacks talent. The reason they don't tackle well, can't read QB's eyes, can't jump routes is because they are just not the better players in the league. These guys as unit are no good together, at all. If you take out Bell/Will Allen its really a horrendous group. They would be ok players as role players on teams with above average secondaries. But these guys can't be counted on to make plays.

Why does it feel like the FO is content with the play of our secondary though?

I don't think they are content with the results, I just think they are aware of the lack of talent available on the open market.

No, they turned into watching the game in street clothes

There not even activated to play of late

I don't think so.. Here is an excerpt of what Sparano said in an article post game...

So how do the Dolphins alleviate the issues on defense?

The answer might not sound all that complex, but Sparano said more effective tackling likely was the biggest deterrent in each of the Dolphins' past two losses.

Against the Ravens, the Dolphins missed ''17 or 18 tackles,'' Sparano said. And 11 of those occurred in the back end of the defense. A week earlier, against the Texans, Miami gave up 147 yards after the catch. So all of the yardage isn't even being gained up front.

Here is the link if anyone wants to read the rest...
