that teams are getting better at information control. I realize there is team news on a daily basis, but much of it is so general that it has led to a flood of speculation among the folks that actually get paid to seek it, like Mort, Clayton or Schefter.

I see more opinion and speculation than ever this year. Don't get me wrong, because in the information age we get a lot more stuff than 20 years ago. But it just seems (I am speculating) that information is just as controlled this year by a new management team as it was by Saban. They just seem a little nicer in their manner of doing so. Opinions and speculation welcome.

I must agree. There is very little activity right now and there is very little news or speculation in regards to Green and Carr going to new teams. I did find this article about the Panthers looking at Carr and Harrington as backups.

The suspense is killing me, LOL.

This is a really good post, Lee...I think you are right on the nose, and I'll add that information that does come out, from our organization or any other is deflective and is, to a certain extent, mis-information.

Some on this board think that under the new regime that the local reports and even the national reporters are somehow totally 'abreast' of what Cam-Mul is thinking. I think not...I think the reporters are giving us the same type of info as with the Saban regime, but can rely on half of their readers to believe the info is factual when it really is not...it's probably better than 90% speculation on the part of the individual reporter.

That being said, some conclusions can be drawn from the actions that have taken place so far. The problem with that is that Cam-Muls 'plan' is only half way completed. There are probably more FAs and of course the draft yet to come. It's way too early to really draw conclusions as to how well they are doing...
