As disappointed as I am that the Fins lost, I am proud to wear the jersey of the team that I love so dearly. Do they drive me crazy? Yes! Do they make me angry and also want to cry at the same time? Yes! But for now, with a bunch of new & young players, a new scheme, a new coaching staff and starting out on the road in one of the toughest venues to win (unless you are called the Arizona Cardinals), I will throw them a Mulligan today. I didn't get to watch the game yet as I had to work, however I followed every play on NFL.com and was on the edge of my seat for 3 hours. I recorded the game for later viewing. In my opinion it takes a tough loss like this one to build character. If we would have won, it just might have built a false sense of confidence into this team which has many flaws still which need to be addressed. Yes I would have preferred a win though I'm looking at the game with coaches glasses on and as a building block for the rest of the season. Once the coaching staff begins to mesh and utilize personnel to the best of their ability, I believe that the Dolphins will be much improved. I am very confident in this staff to get the job done. One game, especially the first one does not make the season and team unity will create a much stronger bond amongst the players and coaches............stay tuned!!!!!!!

There were positives and negatives in today's game that I'm sure you will see when you get a chance to watch the recording. My take....

Defense was a pleasant surprise. Much better than anyone expected and won the turnover battle.

Offense has some work to do. We left 13 points on the field and the play calling was sketchy at times. RT made a good drive to put us up late in the 4th which was good to see. The Stills drop was painful. We struggled to be consistent in the running game.

Special teams have a lot of work to do.

New offense, New coaches on both sides of the ball, toughest place in the league to play against a very good team....and we held them to 12 points. While we didn't win, we certainly scared the hell out of them.

Even if Miami starts 0-2 it's not the end of the world. At Seattle and at New England could be the toughest two games on the schedule, we just happen to open the season with both games.

I was impressed that we held them to 12 points.

Disappointed in the offense, but I knew going against the Seahawks it was going to be a low scoring game.

Hate losing close games, especially when there's one or two gaffes that haunt the team.
