Just about every FA ranking I see has him ranked pretty high. He was a good corner for us. And for some inexplicable reason we traded him away. A Grimes/Davis tandem would have been pretty sweet. I guess I can add him to the list along with Jake Long and Reggie Bush of players that the retard let getaway.

Davis is not worth the contract he's getting. The colts GM is screwing that franchise over right now.
 
Vontae Davis and Karlos Dansby were good football players, whom were casted away due to them being personalities that didn't fit Philbin's mold of what a player should be.
With that being said, I wouldn't have paid what Davis got from the Colts.
 
finally played great in his contract year, what a shock. now that he is paid, he will turn back into a pumpkin
 
One of my favorites of recent years too, but he is not worth that contract at all

Or that Dolphins actually got good value on Davis via a trade. You see pro bowl guys go for 4-6th round picks and Dolphins got a 2nd.

As for Dansby go look around the league what happens to VETS. 3 of the top 4 active sack leaders were released this week. It is the NFL.
 
i agree with Reggie Bush. Hated seeming him go. But I'm surprised anyone cares about Vontae or Long

Don't fret Vontae...he is a perfect example of physical talent lacking the heart of a champion.

Brent Grimes is a winner who is nowhere near as talented physically as Vontae Davis...but he is a winner in my opinion and Vontae is not.

Vontae has impressive talent...but he will let you down when it matters.
 
i feel we gave up to soon on him, that said even coming off injury like he was i would rather have grimes
