After the 0-3 start and Chad going down with a season ending injury I thought for sure that this fins team with very little talent and a rookie QB would be getting whooped against this very hard schedule every week, but man was I wrong not only have they won three games against their hated and improved division rivals but they could have easily beaten the saints and the patriots on the road today who are super bowl contenders. Also the fins have shown that they can compete against anyone with a rookie QB and many young players which will improve as the season goes on so fins fans the future looks very bright and with a couple of good players signings in this coming offseason I see the fins being a playoff contender again and who knows maybe even super bowl contenders in the future cause BP has proven to me that he is a winner every where he has been.

I don't post often but I do have to agree, we knew this would be a 3 to 4 year process. We want to be successful for many years not just one or two.

I guess someone needs to be proud of this group. Nobody will remember how close they've been in most of the games they lost...we're 3-5.

Tuna is ALL-KNOWING, then why in the hell did he let this team go into this season, without a solid #1 or #2 Receiver?! The Management need look no farther than in the nearest mirror to find who's responsible for our current situation.

Also...our Defensive Cord is about as vanilla as Tom Olivadotti's old pathestic system.
The fool has no idea how to mix up the play calling and apply consistent pressure to a QB.

Just posted a story that coincides with some of the sentiments you mentioned in this thread. You can take a look at it here: http://www.miamisportsgeneration.com/2009/11/much-to-learn-for-3-5-dolphins.html

It basically ends with a positive outlook on Miami's future. I mean, Sean Smith and Vontae Davis are young players that make occasional mistakes, but for the most part they have played well for rookies coming into starting roles. If they continue on this path, by next season and the season after they should be very good in this league.

Not to mention, Chad Henne and the young receivers still have a lot to learn. Hartline and Bess can definitely find a spot in this roster down the road and add to Miami's depth. There is still a need for a #1 WR, but there have been flashes of talent coming from those two.

Lots to be said about this Miami team, but the truth is that there will be more to say in the upcoming years. And I mean that in a good way.
