I believe he is hamstrung by poor O-line play, a bad system and thus bad play calling. He can make all of the throws and isn't given the opportunity to make them. Does he have the best pocket presence.......no, but he should be allowed to take the handcuffs off, throw the ball downfield and run a "normal" offense like that run by 95% of NFL teams and stop this dink and dunk offense that he has been relegated to. Take snaps from under center as well as shotgun and let him loose. To do so though would require protection, something he hasn't had the luxury of since being drafted. Thank god for his durability but I feel his time is being wasted by incompetent coaching staffs who do not have the faith or knowledge to run the kind of offense that would put the Dolphins in a position to be successful. There is a lot to be said on this topic...............:hsmash:

We've had poor oline play for years. We have a hold Ryans hand coordinator in Lazor. When does he break out? At what point is it on Ryan , and not the other factors you mention? Because it's very likely that we won't have a top tier oline, top tier coaching, an owner who gives a crap and a front office top tier all li ING up at the same time to help Ryan. Ryan needs to help Ryan.

I also have faith in RT....but he definitely needs to play better.

I would like to see him work with a competent coaching staff and specifically with a OC that is competent, but he also has to do his part.

they said the same with fiedler who was a better manager, runner on the field.

Sorry, I was one that thought Tannehill was the answer at QB. Not any more, he just doesn't have it. He is in his 4th year and we keep making excuses for him.

He's been through 2 OCs already, one of them being his college ball coach. I don't know what to think of Tannehill anymore and I was a diehard Tannehill fan since we drafted him.

He's got one more year, and we'll see what they bring in for a coach. If they get a Sean Payton guy, he may improve greatly in a better-suited offense. If we get Mangini, they may as well trade him for a bag of pucks and start Logan Thomas.

I think everyone would agree that if everything on offense and coaching was great, then R-Tan would be a good QB.

I've thought the same thing for a while. But it's more than that. Dude is inaccurate. I don't care what his completions/attempts say. Dude throws so many balls behind receivers and that will cost you yards in a game of yards. Can't throw a consistent long ball. All the things that great QBs can do, he can't do them. Even when the line gives him enough time, he still holds on to the ball far too long. Either way, bad OL or bad Tannehill, it's all so very frustrating when we sold out to win this season and we're performing as we have in the past several seasons when expectations were low.

Already for 2016 I'm expecting nothing better than 8-8. We do all of this stuff that's great to read about yet nothing seems to change during the 60 minutes each week that actually matter.

Yeah I believe he's 5 yards short of the first on 3rd down. :rolleyes2:

LOL does he have the best pocket presence should be replaced with, does he have ANY pocket presence. But the answer to both is NO.

Yeah, about those two OC's.....Sherman was way too conservative and Lazor, well.....he promised a fast paced read option offense. What we have become is a predictable, slow, misdirection based offense and we are very easy to defend. We don't use the middle of the field and I haven't seen a TE bee effective in the game plan in a long time.

That is why I say a competent OC......I'm not sure we have had one in some time.

I'm starting to think Tannehill is a coach killer and it doesn't matter what coach you have back there coaching him up at the OC spot.

you also believe in moore, fiedler, beck, you fool
