I Blame The DEFENSE!

Everyones talking about the pick 6's and how horrible ted ginn is but when we score 34 points we should win every game i dont care if its the saints. We need a different defensive cordinator i mean saban was a loser as a coach but he had the defense playing great and thats how we won 9 in a row. I feel like the chargers having all of this talent and not being able to stop anybody. We lost 2 games because of the defense and we couldve easily lost the jets game. What do you guys think the problem is with the defense?
 
Our Safties can't cover for ****. That is what I think the biggest issue is. Just about every completed pass is in front of a safety and good TE's are having field days against us.

They came out very creative, moving looks, disguising blitzes and coverage.

Somewhere along the way they ended up flat footed. They were gassed and sucking wind by the end of the game.

Honestly we have a few questionable guys out there and a core of youth.

These things take time.

WHERE is all this talent you speak of??? Our D-line is pretty solid, we have aghing OLB's, nothing spoecial in the middle, a couple rookie corners and crap safeties!
 
Our defensive coach, Pasthedokie, is a big reason. He's almost as bad as our ST coach.
 
The plan, originally, was to build from the inside out. Hence why we drafted two DE's in the first draft. Unfortunately, half of the starting secondary from last year now plays for the Broncos so they had to change the gameplan and focus the draft on corners.

Hence, why we resigned Crowder, why Akin is still a starter and Taylor isn't a situational player. Unfortunately Wilson has not panned out and Bell isn't the same player he was last year.

No one with the Dolphins is going to say it to the media, but this isn't the team of the future on the field. It's more like this is what we have, do your best.

If the season gets away from us I'd expect to see more PT for the younger guys to evaluate what we have and who's worth keeping.

I could see us starting next year with up too 5 new starters on D next year. NT, 3 LB's (depending if Wake pans out), and a S.
 
i agree.. this defense has lost us two games(colts,saints) that we should have won.. but what i have liked is the fact that we have scored 30 or more points the past 3 games.. with out a true 1 wr.. with out a play making te.. so there is alot of positives to look at.. now if we can get this defense fix and start stopping people we will win a hell of alot more games.. lets hope the defense can pull there collective heads out of there ***** and get this thing right.. go fins :up:

lol, two touchdowns came when the defense wasn't even on the field. that's 14 points right there. Granted I believe the defense needs to step up, but they are not the only ones to blame in the saints game.
 
They would be easy targets. Mad Dog brought this up today. The defense gave up only 3 points for the first 15 minutes of play and gave up 43 points the last 15 minutes. tsk: tsk:

while ted gave up 7 points (In non garbage time) and henne gave up 7 points (albiet in garbage time)
 
Offense is to blame for not winning a winnable game, again. Defense is to blame for not putting away a game that we were already winning and needing the offense to do even more to try and win it again, again.

Frankly, we are lucky this isn't the third time, because we did everything we could to give away the Jets game as well.
