I just watched Playbook AFC on the NFL Network and when it came to them talking about the Fins-Jags game, we got two votes of confidence on winning, while the Jags got one. The stunning, jawdropping moment was that JOE THEISMAN actually picked US to win! I know...the man who seems to have a grudge against us for drafting and then cutting him actually said nice things about the way we've been running our unbalanced o-line of late. I was shocked and nearly fell out of my chair when it happened.

joe theismann has been behind us all year. he has had us in his top 10 nfl team rankings for the majority of the year.

If only he let Bokamper catch that one I/we would have a different opinion of that weasel. He owes us big time. I saw that and frankly was shocked since he's never had much nice to say about the Phins.

Funny how many people forget about that play in SB 17. Most remember Riggin's TD run as the big play of the game. IMO, Theisman's breakup of that interception by Bokamper was, BY FAR, the biggest play of the game. I remember re-playing that one over and over in my head, for days after the game.

Theisman always says good things about us. What are you talking about?

When he was on MNF he never had anything nice to say about us, even when we were playing well. He always seemed sort of snotty about us, like his nose was all bent out of joint, rather than this lower leg.

How about Bokamper just making the stinkin' catch. He looked like a dork on that play, and is still sort of does too. LOL How about Don McNeal and the "D" being schooled by Riggins too.... that game is just a bad memory...Wood/Strock=Crap. No wonder Shula was looking for a new QB right after that game.

**** Theisman......

Theisman has never been a Phin's hater, unlike Randy Cross...he's the worst.

IF Shula would have pulled Woodley sooner and Put Strock in...maybe there would be NO Riggins run.....??????

I remember when Joe Theisman said he believed jay Feidler could be a pro bowl QB. So him hating on Miami would be news to me.

Woodley (RIP) 0 for 8 passing in the 2nd half
If they had Marino that season, I believe they win that game easily.
Unfortunately, when Marino got us to a SB, we had lost Rusty Chambers (ILB), Larry Gordon (OLB) to untimely deaths in the offseason.
Bill Walsh exploited their 2 rookie replacements (Jackie Shipp and Jay Brophy) en route to a SB title.

McNeal had broken his arm in the Championship game 2 weeks before... Trying to tackle the original Diesel with a broken arm? I hardly blame him.
