More changes are coming as the Dolphins are bringing in four free-agent tailbacks for workouts today, including Lamar Smith, who gained 2,107 yards in two seasons with Miami (2000-01) before being released by the Saints in preseason. Damien Anderson, Aveion Cason and Jonathan Reese are also coming in.

Also, finally here is the truth on Larry Johnson:
The Dolphins did speak Monday with Kansas City about a trade for Larry Johnson, who was shopped by the Chiefs last week after the tailback had a public blow-up with coach Dick Vermeil.

The Chiefs would seek a linebacker or draft choice as compensation. But the Dolphins don't want to trade a pick or a starting linebacker for Johnson, a 2003 first-round draft choice who has only 20 NFL carries.

The Dolphins might be willing to deal 2003 second-round draft choice Eddie Moore, but Kansas City could potentially receive a more established player for Johnson from another team in need of a tailback.

Moore, who missed his rookie season because of a foot injury, has been backing up strong-side linebacker Morlon Greenwood.

Oh no, I hope we don't trade any more of those high picks that we can get in 2005.It wouldn't make any sense to bring in another RB that'd have to run behind this line when we all know we're not going anywhere. Keep the picks damn it!!

Read above, the Dolphins don't want to trade any draft picks. Sounds like maybe we could do a Moore for Johnson straight up trade.
 
I can just se Rick throwing away more picks for LJ, trying to save a season that is so obviously lost
 
If they do Johnson for Moore, straight up, i'd take that no problem. But that would be assuming KC are morons

Wow Lamar Smith has no heart? Well to the least he had heart in 2000 when he carried 2 defenders in the endzone to score the gamewinning touchdown. He was a modest RB who was a workhorse. With only 1 rb left, what other options do we have? We have no choice but to try out some RBs, including Lamar.
