I cant help but feel dissapointed we didnt trade down after how today went

I wish we could of traded our 16th pick for something. There was alot of action by way of trading going on today I wish we pulled a Jimmy and made some moves. I feel like Saban didnt take best player available and went with a need instead. Just the way I feel.
 
I feel moderately disappointed too. I thought that because we did so well in the draft last year, that with a killer draft like this one we could make some moves. But no, we don't trade down, and pass on Chad Jackson. To make it worst we handed him over to the Patriots. Now our number one competitor in our division has another WR for Brady to throw too.

IMHO we should have taken Jackson and gotten a decent safety in Ko Simpson or Darnell Bing. If Saban is so good at coaching DBs, he could turn someone that has raw talent into someone that has star written all over him. We gave up Chad Jackson just to take a WR in the third round? I agree that Saban lied. He didn't take best player possible like he says he does, he took what he thought he needed. I think Jason Allen will be a solid player, but when Chad Jackson scores his first TD on us I'm just gonna shake my head and say "That coulda been on our team."
 
Hagan is pron more NFL ready right now then Jackson we got a solid Wr in him he does not drop as many balls as people say he does plus he was rated the best wr about 4 months ago he ran the 3rd fastest 40 at the combine for Wrs and he put up better stats in college wats there to complain about im jus mad because i feel we could have traded down like 6 spots and still got allen and picked up another 3rd but i do liiek allen and he will start at Fs for us this year
 
I would of rather had A LB or Jimmy Williams or even one of the recievers. I just dont like that he has shoulder surgery in 2005 and dislocated hip last season, sorry but I just cant get excited about him and after what Kiper said about Hagan Im not excited about him either I would of rather gotten someone with speed.

Who do you think will play SS for us? I figured Renaldo Hill would be FS and Allen SS, but everyone seems to say he is more suited as a full safety.
 
i wish we could have traded down as well but i think we did alright plus you know were gonna sign so people who don't get drafted.
 
you know what im happy with who we picked saban knows what he's doing so im pretty sure he knew who he was picking but i think trading down would have been the smart idea
 
i remember hearign saban doesnt need a true ss he likes having both his safeties cover so i thik the best to safeties at either spot wil start whether its allen and cooper or hill and allen or hill and cooper
 
Saban said is his press conference that he had the opertunity to trade down. He didn't think they could get Jason Allen though.

I think i heard someone say that the Cowboys would have taken Allen with their 1st round pick..
 
i was dissapointed to.i felt if we wouldve traded down and gotten a 2nd we couldve still gotten allen in the frst if we dropped down.im dissaponted that we left the first day with only 2 players

If you look at Pep as our 2nd round pick, then we had an outstanding first day.
 
Cmon people with the way we got torched by the pass last year,you shouldnt even question this pick.Saban is getting the bodies to run different schemes in the secondary.And Chad Jackson aint all that,while Hagan has most catches in PAC10 history he couldnt have dropped too many:shakeno:
