I don't want to trade down, unless its still in the TOP 10,then sure, but after watching Jake Long,Chris Long,Vernon Gholston and Darren McFadden,I don't really want to trade out,and lose players like these,on a team like the Dolphins, sure trading down makes sense, but there is just too much talent in the TOP 10,let alone the 1st pick to give away

Thoughts?

Jake Long brother....WOW....as a reference... Orlando Pace (who was a #1) didnt look half as good as this guy to me. Talk about a quality LT which would FINALLY solidify that spot on the line for the first time in 8 LONG years.

Indeed the prospects look very good.

I've been a Gholston fan since day one, and the combine just solidified that.

Did you not draft this high a couple years ago with your INJ RB

and too think,we coulda had Braylon edwards,Shawne Merriman,etc.,.....Ronnie,i love ya,but youre gonig to have to suck it up...your times running out

No we had the #2 pick than and now we are #1 there is a big difference in pay and tension in just that one pick!

staying high is very tempting, but the draft is deep in areas we can use; as well as, quite a few players with loads of talent that will drop/need work (and will go lower). the risk/reward to accruing picks vs. staying high is skewed to hoarding picks. Taking a huge talent (with contract) with modest help will not help us as much as improving our team as whole and putting us in a position where the impact players will elevate us, as opposed to us dragging them down....
that said keeping with this trend, and our inane ability to stay as a lower ranked team, having 3-5 top ten picks (including ronnie. b) on our team cant hurt.....

p.s. this is my first post on this site....
