Look at what the Packers are doing right now. In 10 games this year they've only been held under 30 points four times, and we were one of those teams to keep them under. Rodgers is the best QB in the league, he's going to own the record books when he retires, he absolutely dominates when he is on, and I'd be shocked if he doesn't retire with at least one more ring... He has a pretty damn good shot to do it this year.
Be that as it may, my larger point is that when you play an elite QB like Rodgers, Peyton, Brady etc you cannot expect to win unless you score 30 points. With the way the rules are in today's NFL, these guys are just too good, and they will find a way to beat you if you settle for field goals in the red zone instead of scoring touchdowns. I put our loss to GB (and to a lesser extent Detroit) much more on our lack of ability to convert TDs in the red zone, and our lack of ability to run clock and pick up first downs in the last 5 minutes of games than I do our defense.

All things considered this year, our defense has been fantastic. We've played some great QBs this year already, and we obviously have a couple more great ones upcoming on our schedule. I know that Denver looked beatable today, but if we want to win that game (and if we want to make the playoffs) we need to go into Denver and put up some real points while controlling the clock. Scoring in the low 20s isn't gonna cut it.

You can put it on the defense, they gave up a 2 yard TD.

Football is a team game, need all aspects to be good to win.

it was just a tough loss in general. it happens, it ****ing sucks, but the great thing is we still have a great shot at the playoffs if we take care of our business.

win the rest of our home games and beat the jets on the road, and i give us a 99 percent chance of making it.

I felt that way too, right after the loss. Debbie downers tried to rip it up / people were not willing to give GB and Rogers any credit because it was early in the season. Not to dissimilar to the views of KC back then either.

Philbin and his dumb time outs cost us. Our offense in the first half tannehill in particular hurt and then are d couldn't make a play at the end. We went toe to toe with them, when this team plays to its capabilities they can play with anyone.

Totally agree that the D let us down but so did the O. Same in the Lions game and look how their O was dominated by the cardinals today.

Cardinals had the same situation as us. The threw the ball on 3rd down to Fitz and picked up the 1st. Then the kneeled down and the D never had to take the field again. That is why they are 9-1

Yep you gotta be able to put the game away on O. They were able to do it and we weren't.
