Guards and tackles blocking down field on runs and screens. Daniel Thomas bumped into Ja'Wuan James 10 yards down field on one of his runs. When the hell is the last time that happened? Brandon Albert burying guys in space. I couldn't stand to watch McKinnie or Clabo last season, this is great.

With Pouncey coming back and maybe some improved play at RG, we should be solid for the rest of the season.

This I agree with.

Can't believe I'm excited for this line after what we saw last year

Just wait till Pouncy comes back...

Get Pouncey back and get Dallas Thomas back on the bench, and this line is pretty good. If we can find a way to get Billy Turner ready to play and into the lineup, I think we will actually be able to line up against top DLs and not get flat embarrassed like we have been for the past 2 years.

Itl be a long time before I praise the guards in this roster. The tackles have been very good though

RG still a work in progress and Colledge is probably our most un-athletic guard right now which may be a reason we haven't really pulled him all that much but with Pouncey back we don't have to pull Colledge, we can pull Pouncey and whatever RG is playing on some runs to the outside going right. The fact that Tannehill ran on some of the zone read plays helps going forward cause the DE was crashing down hard in the Raiders game...I don't think they were counting on Tannehill running since he hadn't done it so far this year. That will help the inside runs.

By the way, Green Bay is very susceptible to the zone read plays where the QB keeps it. I've watched a lot of their games and they struggle against those plays

Turner was battling turf toe to start the season and that type of injuring can linger if u don't let it heal. They my be waiting for it to heal up before trying to throw him in there.

Amazing what happens when a GM realizes that some lineman perform better in certain schemes then actively pursues and signs those guys...

Jamie Nails pulling in front of Ricky Williams in Buffalo-still lost that game, I think

Hickey looked at the lineman available and compared their athleticism to other lineman he's had in the scheme. Ireland looked at lineman and compared their athleticism with his own and figured if they were more athletic then him they should be able to run the scheme.

Understatement of the decade. The 49ers have curbstomped the Packers the last couple of years because Green Bay simply can not deal with that play.

Not just the 49ers...Seattle did as well. I remember Wilson running for 13 yards on one zone read play and after that they were so concerned with him Marshawn Lynch was getting chunk yards on his carries...not that he doesn't do that normally but it was even easier than usual.

Good to see the OL getting some love......

I heard it was a bruise, and not turf toe.

I tried finding info on it earlier today and some places said it was a foot injury, other's a bruise and yet another one turf toe. I don't know which report to believe.

I wonder if the DC has something to do with it? Could it be Caper's just has problems coming up with a scheme to stop it?
