I really just couldnt believe how many passing plays we ran today. Early in the game i kept thinkin to myself "alright, theyre gonna run on this play" and theyd pass again. I was just shocked, it feels like we havent thrown the ball that much in forever...i cant even remember the last time our QB threw the ball 50+ times.

Henne still needs to work on some stuff and hes learning and getting better but i like what i see from him. Hes got a good arm but he needs to get a little better of a touch pass instead of zingin it over some guys head on some plays but he shows good decision making and overall ive been happy with how hes done so far.

We should keep that type of play up, idk why were so conservative all the time. Its not like we were going deep today but the pass plays were better. Ricky ran the ball like 15 times for 70 somethin yards so its not like we totally abandoned the run either. We were actually moving the ball and it was nice to see guys hangin onto the passes too. I dont mean throw the ball 50 times a game every game but definately execute the pass game more like today with some of the passing plays than the short little dink n dunk crap that Henning loves so much. Guys were actually OPEN for a change.

Did anyone else pick up on (what seemed to me) that Ricky wasn't feeling too well? He just didn't seem his usual speed, and didn't really take on and punish tacklers like he usually does. The injury report keeps mentioning his chest; anything to do with that? Sure hope he gets back to full speed soon; we need him.

I wasn't shocked i was actually excited. They finally took the brakes of Henne and let him show us what he is capable of doing. The future is looking bright for Chad Henne

WR's looked wide open because Henne had all day to throw. Our O-line is great and the Patriots have 0 pass rush. Their D-line wasn't even a challenge for our line, except for Wilfork.

They haven't passed that much since Ricky retired for the first time and they were trotting out the likes of Travis Minor.

He had a cramp and he's worn out. He's too old to carry the load. That's why we didn't run as much as we should have in the 4th Q.

does anybody know the last time we passed 50 times and who it was cuz i sure as hell cant remember...

Was Sheets active? If Ricky is hurting and cant run 100% i think Sheets should be active and get a few carries. Hilliard is a big back, hes a powerful back. Sheets is more of a speedy shiftier back and supposively(from what i hear, havent seen) a pretty good pass catching back as well. Im in favor of Ricky as he is our best back right now but he hasnt carried the load in years. It wouldnt hurt to give Sheets a few carries, in my opinion.

Henne played like a NFL Qb today. This is the first time that he read the field well. Recognized the blitzes and made quick throws. I thought he might have what it takes to be a lone-term starter, but he finally showed he has what it takes. Great job Henne!

I'm somewhat relieved to see Henning call a pass heavy game. It seemed at times that we were determined to keep to a gameplan even when it wasn't working.

I doubt this is the beginning of Air Henne but it gives Jacksonville another dimension to game plan for.

Joey Harrington was the last QB to pass that much for the dolphins, 2006?

They have Ricky on a limited number of plays per game, and they don't have confidence with Hilliard yet. A lot of 3 step drops, quick hitters to keep the offense moving. Ricky doesn't seem to be able to cut back very well, very straight ahead recently.

It helps that NE's secondary is average ... they need alot of work back there... Henne, picked them apart, just like many teams have in the past few weeks!!! i thought Miami had a bad secondary with all the problems they have had this year... but after watching NE the past 3 weeks, they are giving Miami's secondary a run for the money!!!

It is nice not having to deal with the likes of Asante Samuel and freakin Rodney Harrison for sure. PLus no Richard Seymour to rush the QB!!!
