Does the Dolphins shopping Randy McMichael for a 3rd mean that with our #9 the F.O. is looking at Greg Olson(TE from Miami)? What you all think?

first round te? doesn't sound logical

That is probably the stupidest thing i have read so far. Greg Olsen at num 9!? You're kidding right?

TE in the 3rd or 4th.

The only thing trading Randy means is that Mueller and Cam want to get more picks and less subpar players.

I would hope so, Olsen is my favorite player in the whole draft but we would have to trade for a late 1st rounder to get him

for all of you who said 1st round is not for TE, tell that to the Giants and Jeremy Shockey or the Browns and Kellen Winslow or Pitt and Heath Miller. good TEs come in the 1st round and Olsen is the best of them all. he runs a 4.4, can catch everything thrown his way and is a very good blocker and unlike Shockey he is quiet and humble

i know we've been heaping a lot of "man love" on Olsen as a result of the combine but let's get real: he wasn't that great a TE for UM. Yeah we can say his supporting cast wasn't great but I don't think he showed all that much on the field. (compared to Shockey or Winslow) He's definitely a "workout warrior" though.

From a Major Cane Fan

I love the canes, but Olsen couldn't carry Shockey and Winslow's Jock Strap. Forget the combine times....Look at the games and I watched all of them. Winslow made Berlin look good....lol

Olsen in the second with the Welker pick, maybe...but not a 1st rounder, forget the 40 time, its about what you do in games, not against a stop watch!

a 3er round for him is great, but a 2nd for Welker is better, trade then both. We need picks & cap. McM & Welker are replaceble. GO DOLPHINS!!

If we can get him in the 2nd then yes. I believe he will be more productive than McMike but there's no way you spend a high first rounder on a guy that wasn't nearly as good as Winslow who got picked in the same area.

Especially when we have more pressing needs that are the BPA when we pick.

Greg Would be a great pick for a team in the 20's, not a top ten pick though.

If you're a Canes fan, you would know not to mention Olsen in the same breath as Shockey or Winslow. Their on a different level. Olsen gets so much attention because of his combine results, not because of his play at UM. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan, but he's not anywhere near as good as those two. I'd take him in the 2nd if (1) we traded McMichael and (2) he's there, but not at #9
