I dont know guys.....

How many threads about the weather do we need??? Ok, we know it's going to be cold and snowy/rainy. If the team really wants a playoff spot, it'll go out there and fight hard for a win regardless of the conditions. The weather should be no excuse...if we can't play in this weather, then we're not ready for the playoffs (in the dead of winter) in the first place.

If anything that crappy weather favors a dink and dunk passing game. Their field sucks and running on that isn't going to be easy. Anchoring a block will get harder too. So the weather related match ups should favor our ProBowl DL vs their patchwork OL, our dink and dunk passing vs their older D that has to play off the faster Wallace and Hartline, and of course Brandon Fields switching the field. For them: Big Ben will be slippery and tough to bring down, less fear of Wallace's 9 route, and less fear of our unspectacular run game.

IMHO the national media is picking Pitt becau of their familiarity with Pitt's past succees instead of their current mediocrity. They just see our record and write us off even though we have beaten some good teams and barely lost in others.

Every week we have a boogyman to worry about this weeks it's the 29 degree weather.

We have the better team so we should win. Obviously this game is a must-win. We fall a game behind Baltimore with them holding the tiebreaker and we are doomed!

IMO This game is gonna come down to a couple things. Can Miller get going in the run game? And can Tannehill extend a few plays and hit wallace deep? If there is snow then Wallace should be the guy we use the most. He is familiar with playing in games at Heinz, and their secondary is real suspect right now. Get him some deep throws early, and hit him often in the screen game. One guy slips in the snow and misses the tackle and it might be a TD. He's that fast!

One thing I worry about is Big Ben being too strong for our guys to bring down. If he is allowed to break tackles and extend plays we will be in serious trouble. We have had trouble with this anyways all year it seems. Although you could say we've played some pretty tough Qb's. Get to Ben, knock the ball out of his hands. Dion Jordan may have the play of the game in this one. Go Phins!

You can dress for the cold you can not dress for the heat.

This is the game they need to pull out the pistol. Let Tannehill run

this team has done well in the snow in the past. Of course, this team also had Reggie Bush tearing it up in the game I'm thinking of, so ... yeah.

Lol the game I remember was TNF @ Buffalo in light snow, very similar weather conditions as tomorrow's game. Reggie rushed for 11 yards on over 10 carries, and Tannehill had a very hard time tossing the ball in the cold. I don't believe that will be the case tomorrow though, this is a different team.

We've probably been practicing in the bubble all week with the temp set at a [STRIKE]freezing cold[/STRIKE] very comfortable 74 degrees. I'm sure we will be fine.

Freezing cold, windy conditions are set up for teams with a power back. And we haven't got one. I am an optimist by nature but if the playing conditions are terrible (and Heinz Field has the reputation of being amongst the worst), then it will be difficult for Miami to get the running game going if the passing game is limited by the cold wind.
When Ireland or his replacement are buying the groceries next year, please don't forget the need for a power back. Did you notice that Belichick swooped to get Blount even though he already had Vereen and Ridley.

Wow..... 29 temp. 70% snow showers 10-20 mph. Winds. Whats your guys take on the game? Please dont be homers. I dont think its looking to good for a Miami win. I hope they can do it. No one is giving them a chance on Nfl net or espn.

Ok, let me point something out to all you floridians.

It is not that bad out for football! Key word being football there! They are not waterskiing, fishing (people ice fish when its way worse than this will be).

I live in Rochester NY. Today it is beautiful. And judging from tweets I saw of downtown ****sburgh, its sunny today and mild at 30 degrees. That is beautiful football weather!

Now it will likely snow tommorrow. That is a good thing. The temp when down a little from est. 35 degrees to 29-30. That is excellent! Let me tell you why. Because it will snow if anything and snow is nothing more than little tiny flakes slowly tumbing to earth. There is no storm predicted. If there were, then you should worry. Otherwise it is just snow at a nice degree of replenishing your body's coolness when all that heat is releasing from your body.

It feels great out! If I were chopping wood or piling it up, which I will be doing tommorrow, I would be sweating.....without a jacket!

I would rather see 29 and snow than 36 and rain

exactly!

yes this may be true, but....there guy just had a mild concussion. I know they say he is allright. But I kind of think that it is that he is allright to play. If you see other RB's getting the same reps, then he is more banged up in the head than they say.

And here is another thing. The running game is not their first choice. It is only to fill in much like we do and out of shotgun or in TE sets which we will read anyways. As long as the footing is ok, I dont think we will have much trouble other than hitting the outside for miller. Gillislee is built low to the ground so maybe he gets us sparked.

Wallace will no doubt be telling the guys what its like and what spikes to use. But getting to Big Ben and tackling him or causing fumbles is the thing I think we need to worry about most.

Here is to Misi and OV making some big hits.

Regarless of the weather, this is the kind of game that we normaly lose. Every time we need a big win like this we lay an egg. Hoping this will be different but I'm not holding my breath.

Ozzy rules!!

Yep. I'm hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.

please don't be homers. PLEASE!!! bad weather. we're doomed! doomed i tell ya! :njfinsfan1:
