Even though we are now under the cap, I don't think we are done cleaning house. I really do think that if we end up signing Brees and/or trading for Ramsey, that Frerotte, and his 4 million dollar salary will be gone.

I also think we may see surprise cut along the lines of Mare/Booker/Holliday. One, if not more of those guys could be let go as well to free up more room.

It seems like we have had good talks with both Mawae and Adams. We all know that Brees seems like a perfect fit. None of those guys will be cheap and we still will have holes in the secondary and o-line.

Don't be surprised if more cuts happen, I guess it he main point I am trying to get to... :p

i believe frerotte will be gone

mare is staying

booker might be involved in a trade for terrell owens?? isnt he due his roster bonus, maybe there is a trade moving with the eagles to aquire him.

i think holliday will still be here as well, pending a restructure maybe, idk how his contract is

Brees will be here for sure, i am pretty sure the deal is going to be signed at 1201am today. i honestly think alot of deals are already done, just will become official at 1201
 
Most likely Booker, we have enough Wr to replace him except.... T.O.

Don't see Mare, Holiday, or Booker getting cut. We will restructure Carter, Thomas, and Taylor....Put Gus on the bus....and we will be fine!!

2.)sign Culpepper or Brees
3.)sign Sam Adams
4.)sign Terrel Owens if we get Culpepper. Brees doesnt have the arm to throw deep to Owens
5.)sign Will Shields
6.)sign Lawyer Milloy
7.)get Ty Law drunk and make him sign a cheap contract

Read somewhere that some experts are thinking Gus is gone and that we sign Brees and then trade a low round pick to Washington for Ramsey. With that they would have more cash to run after Bentley, whom Mueller drafted. This seems very unlikely to happen but IT could happen, and looks a little better after today.

They also said that by doing this we'd be able to go DB in this years draft being as Daniels is all we pretty much have right now.

There is actually a story that many years ago, the owners of the Red Sox and Yankees got drunk together and agreed to trade Ted Williams to the Yanks for Joe DiMaggio. Before it could be completed, both sobered up and nixed the deal.

It really has no purpose to what we are talking about but for some reason, your Ty Law idea reminded me of that! :lol:

4. Owens is a lot more than just a deep threat. Give him a 5 yard catch and watch him turn it into a long gain (i.e. TD catch against Champ Bailey this year)
5. He's like 100 years old and will probably want to retire a Chief
6. Lawyer Milloy is not a great coverage safety
7. Ty Law can probably play better drunk than Reggie Howard could while sober. I like your idea.
