Against Buffalo we had 4 TO (2 min warning), 2:20 seconds and we run down the clock for half time while being down what 17-3? Today we have a min or a little less and 1 TO surely we are going to run out the clock and what do we do..... actually get some balls and attack which failed because they ****ing wasted like 20 seconds after the screen. I think someone should call Philbin and tell him Spikes are allowed and stop the clock....

I honestly thought he would of just run out the clock. He is beyond strange.

I wont defend Philbin.. what he has shown during his stay here in Miami is just plain aweful... but to his credit, he is learning how to be a head coach and how to manage a game

I didn't think it was possible, but Philbin is quite possibly the worst gameday coach we have had in the last ten years, even worse than Sparano and maybe even Cameron. Just some ridiculous mindboggling coaching decisions and clock management coming from him...

Sometimes, to novices (to put it nicely), situations appear to be the same, but maybe they aren't, they could be completely different. If you can't see how or why the situations are different and why it may be correct to make a different decision in a different situation then that's on you. Philbin is not the moron here...

Buffalo was up 9-0 at that point in the game.

Buffalo up until that point had their way with the Dolphins. Do I agree with just giving up and running out the clock? Not really.

Not even a spike...we should have used the TO after the big gain. It takes time to move people down the field. If we take the TO, we have 41 seconds and we are at the 13. Even if you do a run play, you can get a spike later if needed...but I would do nothing but passes to the endzone at that point.

When we started moving the ball up and got a couple of first downs, we absolutely should have taken one of our timeouts and at least tried a shot to get in field goal range.

Riiiiight... You are really going down with the Philbin Ship, aren't you?

Look, I know it's difficult to swallow your pride on something. There is a certain amount of cognitive dissonance that is difficult to overcome, but you will have to face it one way or another. Philbin isn't what you thought he was.

Many of us are facing a similar thing with Tannehill. I've finally come to accept that Tannehill will never live up to the potential he possessed. He lacks the inherent awareness and presence required of the position, and at this point I don't think that is something that can or will be corrected.

Just as we are doing with Tannehill, you must eventually do with Philbin and you will come to realize that those flaws were always there, you were just too entrenched in your position to see them.
