We traded away our best playmaker on offense, which I can understand from a standpoint of him being a total nutjob off the field. But we haven't made ANY attempt to atleast try to replace him. Manningham, Lloyd, even Manningham are all gone without us showing any interest. Bottom line is, do we think that Bess, Hartline, and Gates are gonna scare the heck out of teams? If I'm a DB from NE or NY, I'm laughing at the lineup! I just don't get it.....anyone wanna help me try to understand why we aren't looking at any WR's?

They will be drafted by Philben with help of GM. We have never had a winning record with BM so I dont see the issue.

Expect two wide receivers to be drafted this year, and we couldn't ask for a better draft for WR's. There are so many talented WR's that I think would fit into Philbin's system. Sit back and enjoy, I think we will be pleasantly surprised when everything is said and done.

I can see Hartline, and Bess being great WCO WR's and doing good next year if we have good QB play!
Bess has great hands and Hartline is a good possession WR also!
But we will draft a WR at some point in the draft. I would like Floyd or Hill!

isn't the season opener in september? isn't there a draft? aren't there trades? don't teams cut veterans between now and then?

Meachem, Manningham, Lloyd are all above average receivers AT BEST but nothing more. It's not like Calvin Johnson was on the market and we just ignored hi,

Guys like Roberto Wallace, Marlon Moore, Clyde Gates and Julius Pruitt have a golden opportunity in front of them. Someone from that group needs to step up!!!

I think they are probably going to use the draft to address this. Probably will draft two receivers to compete with what we have.

I think they'll draft two WRs in 2 of the first 3 rounds.

Omar said they really liked Tommy Streeter.

I love the sig and avatar bro!

Hopefully Charles Clay gets more snaps I even want Reggie lined up as WR with D thomas or Slaton in the backfield some

The more I think about the trade the more I dont mind it and Brandon Marshall was my favorite player BUT he was a trouble maker and even though there really wasnt a major issue he still got under the skin of the Front Office.

That being said... We traded him in and we are set up to get a stud in the draft. These recievers are really deep in this draft and have money to go after other needs.

If we sign Flynn and Mark Anderson which I really hope they do then have a draft like this.

Trade back for Floyd and another second and mid round pick like a fourth.

1st-Floyd WR
2nd-Fleener TE
2nd-Massie RT
3rd-Sanu WR
3rd- Brandon Washington OG
4th-Burfict ILB
4th-Janzen Jackson FS
5th-Tommy Streeter WR
The Rest BPA

Our team will be better than last year.

We upgraded on the Offensive line for sure.

Moore QB, Bush RB, Fasano TE, Marshall/Hartline/Bess/Gates/Wallace/Moore WR <<<<< Flynn QB, Bush RB, Fleener TE, Floyd/Sanu/Hartline/Bess/Gates/Streeter WR.

Even though the revievers are mostly rookies these recievers in this draft are no joke! A few years from now people will know what I mean...

Our defense would be much better as well...

DE-Odrick
DT-Solai
DE-Starks
OLB-Anderson
ILB-Dansby
ILB-Burnett
OLB-Wake
CB-Davis/Smith/Marshall/Wilson/Carroll
FS-Jackson
SS-Bell or Jones if Bell is cut.

That defense is nasty and that offense is as well...

We can do damage with this team if Flynn turns out to be a keeper!

Didn't you get the memo? This team sucks and we're not even close to competing. :rolleyes2:

I agree with you bro. It depends on how Flynn does. If he plays well, we have the potential to be real good.
