I don't understand our approach to our WR group...

i have a fast ,and im talkin awsome fast race car its setup for nascar $150,000.00 car but guess what ? i dont have a driver that knows how to drive it , or how to race nascar, get my point ? lol

I agree. Without a QB, it doesn't matter how good this team is. I really hope Flynn pans out. We don't have much of a choice.

i was really talkin about a wr besides what we have for matt flynn , but i do agree with you bro i hope flynn pans out .

I love how hilariously simple ya'll make it sound. We'll just fix all our problems in the draft. Duh. Who cares if we dump good, proven players. So in this upcoming draft we need to pick up a couple quality WRs, a TE, a RT, a LB, more secondary help, and possibly a future star QB. Easy. Even though Ireland to this point has only gotten starters with the number one pick and maybe one other fringe player later in the draft. It takes a very special rookie receiver to come in and immediately put up top WR production. You're being unrealistically optimistic and the receiver position is going to be dicey.

Oh I thought you meant the QB being the driver of the car, but I see what you mean.

This team isn't that bad. It's been competitive. We have yet to find a competent coach and a good QB, so we keep failing. My point is we're closer to being a playoff team than a mediocre 2-14 team. You would think it's the end of the world by the way people talk. I think this team has a foundation.

So we now are banking our wide receiving core on draft picks and most of you are just chalking it up as guys who will pan out and lead our receiving core starting in year one? Little bit of an update here, but we dont even have a #2 receiver. Bess is a nice slot/#3 guy but this is pathetic.

So we are bringing in a qb with 2 career starts who is deemed to have a 7th round skillset and his #1 and #2 targets are going to be 2 rookies? Lloyd went for 4 mill a year, wayne for similar, we should have gotten SOMEONE, at least a #2 guy, bad planning.

Good, proven front offices dont regularly hit on 2 guys at a position in the draft, what the hell makes anyone think this is the absolute solution?

Remember 0-7? Remember that feeling? 3 straight losing seasons. We're not that close. With an elite QB things would look different, but we don't have one so it is what it is. We have some good players at a few positions, but when there's something wrong at the top we'll continue going nowhere. Just looking at the holes in our receiving corp is a good example of how the problems in our organization from last year extended beyond just the coach.
