with the World Series starting this Saturday, there is no Sunday Night football game due to game 2 being on Sunday night and the NFL not wanting to go up against it in ratings...which is understandable. But if the World Series were to go to game 7, it would be on Sunday night October 29, the night the Cowboys play the Panthers. It just doesn't make any sense to me. Wouldn't you rather put an NFL game against a game 2 than a game 7? I know that a game 7 isn't guaranteed but it still doesn't make sense to me.

My guess is IF the WS was to go 7 games, the NFL would change the time of the game to an afternoon start. Just a guess though.

Next year the WS starts on a Tuesday.

I wish they went back to some day games with the WS!!!!

This Mets series is killing me sleep wise!

I agree, MLB wants to market more towards kid yet the games end past 11. They should start the games at 7:30 on the dot. That way FOX can get all it's pregame crap in and kids can watch at least the first 5 or 6 innings.

I have tooth picks in my eyes come the 8th inning most nights!

I can remember when I was young running home from school and watching Met games as soon as I came home, it was great. My kids get to see an inning or two before bed.

yeah, i complained about the west coast missing some of the nlds games... yet im happy with watchin the nlcs, and possibly the ws at west coast times.

They wouldn't change the start time of the NFL game, game 7s are rare so I guess that's why they do it but it's happened many times before that a Game 7 has gone up against an NFL Sun Night Game.

They don't care about kids or any East Coast fans. They get the most advertising dollars the later they start it and that's what it's all about for them.

I miss sneaking a little radio into class so I could hear the day games.

The NFL will not move the time of the oct 29 panthers-cowboys game, at least they didn't the last time there was a WS game 7. Which was 2001 Diamondbacks-Yankees if I recall correctly.

The last time it happened was 2002 when SF played Anaheim in game 7 of the WS and the Colts and 'Skins played SNF.

You are correct about it also happening in '01. The Jets played at NO(the Kyle Turley helmet throwing game) and the Yanks played at Ari. I actually went to NO to the Jet game, I made my plans pre-9/11 so at the time there was no chance for a WS game but it was psuhed back a week so I had to watch part of it in my handheld TV.
