With the man being on the sidelines, we seem to have found something. The only problem is will St louis or Minny want him to be HC? Now that we have changed some things and he has had the quote "feed the studs", I think we have developed something nice. I have not noticed any end arounds and cutsie plays as much and we just have found a niche with him on the sidelines. I believe in developement and this teams future and as long as we keep things the way they have been these past few weeks, I have no problem with Linehan being here.

he shouldnt be. Too many OC's and DC's become HC's and they do not have the character for it. OC and DC is more analytical and HC is everything while coaching up your players and keeping the big picture in view.

I dont want him to go either, he's made some poor play calls this season, and i do wish he'd run the ball more. But i think he's a solid OC and one of the better ones we've had in recent memory (better than Turner).

maybe this thread has a moral...............

don't overract when things aren't going well for a little while and call for a coach's/Qb's/whoever's head.

Also, don't overreact after a couple of decent showings.....I'm sure that there'll be some rough offensive outings ahead and people will be calling for Linehan's head again.

I would have loved to see Phin fans let at least the 1st year of the Saban era play out before they started turning on him and his staff...........but that was probably aasking for too much.

I go off with the best of them, but I always try to look at things as they develope. If things change, then how can anyone argue? Calling for Gus' head while talking up Sage is a bit rediculous. Cleo Lemon next year would be a diff story because people want to see him play, but Sage is a known commodity.

I want to see lemon play but i doubt he has any future, no offense to the guy

I think Linehan has improved, now that he is on the side-line with Saban, and I think the players like it also. He is not ready to be a head coach just yet, running an offense and running a team are totally different. Wanny wasn't a bad defensive coordinator, but he sure wasn't a head coach!

What makes you think StL or Minny will want him?
StL will get Martz back and Tice has Minny back in the hunt!

Yeah, when we lose he should be fired.

But when we win, although hes doing the same things as he was before, he should stay.

Ive always thought hes a good OC win or lose. People want to rip him for throwing the ball too much, but when the opposing team scores on you a couple times in the first quarter (in this case 21 points), you are going to play catch up- which means throw the ball.

You think that Minny is going to fire Tice now after he has managed to put them back in the playoff race and has them on a FIVE game winning streak??

the only complaint i have against the guy , is that 4 straight passes on the one yard line , i dn how you dont pound it at least once with the rbs we have , luckily it panned out...

Yea, that dumb idiot Charlie Weiss should have listened to you! Same with that moron Marvin Lewis and Tony Dungee, the list is never ending chalk full of complete and utter moronic coordinators who WILL NEVER SUCCEED AS A HC!!

When there is less than 2 minutes on the clock, and you dont have any timeouts, you dont run the ball. If you do and it doesnt work, you have to line back up again as fast as you can and spike the ball. By throwing the ball, it gives you more oppurtunities to get in the end zone.

Turner won alot of games with very little to work with.
