But is anyone really all that impressed?

WR David Kircus (Broncos)
WR Ernest Wilford (Jaguars)
RG Justin Smiley (49ers)
TE Sean Ryan (Jets)
LB Calvin Pace (Cardinals)
LB Charlie Anderson (Texans)
LB Reggie Torbor (Saints)
DT Jason Ferguson (Cowboys)
DT Reggie Starks (Titans)
QB Josh McCown (Raiders)

I am impressed with Smiley, Wilford, and Pace [if he officially signs]. I don't know a lot about all the other guys but they will come in and help. We are not even close to being done though.

And you would have preferred who?

why?

I'm sure Bill Parcells knows exactly what he's doing, but to me none of these guys has shown anything impressive enough to get excited about.

yea im happy...expecting big things from smiley, wilford, and hopefully pace

Isn't every single one of those guys an upgrade over who we had playing at the end of the season last year?

The TE must be a blocking TE...

I don't know about excited. That's two different things. I am impressed with the amount of work they got done today.

just because we didn't pay for the big names doesn't mean these are bad signings. I personally think its a solid group of guys who will fit the new regimes system and can be very sucessful group.

I'm impressed with the bold signings if we get Pace's deal done.

Btw, David Kircus doesn't exactly count as he was a 'street free agent'

Well i like the DT's first of all.

But i think i would have rather kept Lemon than go with McCown. Or go after Volek or Carr instead.

I cant say anything about Ryan or Anderson because i've never even heard of them.

Smiley i like....

Wilford is ok, probably better than Booker.

I just would have liked to see someone worth really getting excited for. A pro-bowler like Adams or Faneca. Perhaps Lance Briggs.

Since when has any team ever gone out in free agency and signed every big name possible? you should probably look at the cost of what you got these guys for, and what the cost is of other guys on the market...

Not only that, you got alot of diamond in the rough players, and your pretty much judging them before they even play for you guys because their not pro bowlers, how about let the guys play and see how they turn out...Parcells knows how to turn teams around better then anyone, or would you be happier if you were the Falcons who have only resigned chris redman since the start of FA?

Had parcells been there he would of sucked all those guys up for atlanta, and you guys may of had nobody at this point...hes done a great job of taking guys to improve your overall team talent, he's not going to pay 10 million dollars a year for samuel, thats crazy...

Guys like Starks, Pace, and Wilford are huge improvements for where you guys are coming from.

Yes, I'm impressed that Parcells and Ireland got several young, possibly up-and-coming lesser FAs that most likely will collectively help the team more than one or two big name FAs could have. Anyone who thought Miami's FO could sign every possible high-priced FA was only fooling themselves. No one, not even Parcells, would have been able to rebuild the team in a day, but I think we're seeing some much needed upgrades in talent.
