I don't feel bad for him at all. He had his chance here, back in the early part of the last decade. He, along with the rest of his defensive compatriots, folded time after time. Their futility can best be seen in the 2002 and 2003 seasons, when Ricky provided the team with some semblance of an offense. Taylor's legacy here is big stats and disappearing in big games. That was the time for him to step up as a leader of the team and play his way into the Hall of Fame along the way. He didn't do it.
Plus, Taylor didn't leave the Jets so much as they left him.
