I feel bad for Jason Taylor...

I used to feel bad for him, but that went away when he became a filthy jest. He talks a great game as a leader, but the results you'd hope for from that leadership have never been there. It's pretty odd actually. There must be some lesson on the human psyche to be learned from his inability to lead though he exhibits leadership qualities.
 
Taylor should keep his mouth shut. His play so far is amongst the very worst ones on the team. We must have really been hard up to re sign this guy, really hard up.
 
There was a time I would have felt bad for him, but those days have long since passed. He didn't have to return to Miami for a third run. He made his bed, and now he has to lie in it.

I don't feel bad for him at all. He had his chance here, back in the early part of the last decade. He, along with the rest of his defensive compatriots, folded time after time. Their futility can best be seen in the 2002 and 2003 seasons, when Ricky provided the team with some semblance of an offense. Taylor's legacy here is big stats and disappearing in big games. That was the time for him to step up as a leader of the team and play his way into the Hall of Fame along the way. He didn't do it.

Plus, Taylor didn't leave the Jets so much as they left him.
 
I don't feel bad for him at all. He deserves to sink with this team as much as anyone else does.
