Ernest Wilford is in the worst situation ever. He is not strong enough to be a tight end and he has to wake up everyday and compete and do these tough TE drills. If I was in his position, I would ask for a trade or just quit the team like the 4 other players.

What I like about him is the fact that he never complains even last year when he was inactive.

To be honnest, I want him to make the team.

i feel the same way, the guy is giving his best, i think he will do decent at TE i hope he makes it.

He put himself in this position, he had every chance last offseason to be that guy and flopped. I do think its a waste of his time and the teams to have him competing at the TE position. Fasano/Martin locked for the 1/2 position. Haynos is a very good prospect and we just drafted Nalbone.

If he does get a roster position I will be very unhappy and it will be obvious that the trifecta do not like admitting mistakes.

I don't feel bad for him one bit. the guy got 7 million dollars and contributed nothing.
can I be a tight end too???? I promise to suck just as bad!

I want him to give the millions back -- he ain't no WR and he ain't no TE, so he didn't live up to his end of the deal...

I don't feel bad for him at all. He got paid millions, and accomplished nothing, though he was given multiple opportunities to succeed.

I don't feel bad for anyone that sucks. The only ones I feel bad for are the guys who end up with career ending injuries do to no fault of their own. Other than that, Wilford dug his own grave, I'm just hoping the FO finally throws the dirt on the ******!!!

You feel bad for a man making millions of dollars to do nothing?
I feel bad for starving children around the world.

This is funny....especially with your handle being "BenchFiedler". You should of felt bad for Fiedler, at least he busted his as*, and gave a 110% even though he didnt have the greatest NFL QB abilities. At least Fiedler has a pair and a heart, as soon as Wilford shows me one of the two then maybe I will start feeling bad for him. By the way, I would rather see his heart:d-day:!

I feel bad for him from a mental/emotional standpoint. It does suck to suck at your job, or when you don't feel wanted, etc. etc., and it seems like he's probably got some personal issues which complicate things.

But practically speaking, I don't feel bad for him at all. He got a TON of cash and hasn't produced at all. So in many ways, maybe this is the Phins' way of torturing him. They can't get rid of him due to the cap hit, so may as well make him earn his cash by making his practice life a little harder while at best case potentially (probably not though) increasing his trade value.

I love that when guys feel under paid they sit out and want a new contract but not a single one gives anything back when they don't perform even close to the contract value. I know they can get cut but the guaranteed money is all theirs.

I think the bigger question is what is he going to do once he gets let go.

I think he retires ASAFP.

Keeping him on the team is just wasting a roster spot.

I dont feel bad for him at all. He's still getting payed more than I will ever earn in my entire lifetime to sit in the stands, and he has Dolphins Season Tickets(home and road games) and has a VIP Spot at training camp and practice. And he even gets to have a customized jersey and they love him so much, that he gets to play some snaps in preseason games.

He was a productive WR before coming to MIA. Otherwise this FO wouldn't had bothered w/ his contract.
If he isn't going to see action this year, yes the FO should release him and take the hit.

Sure about that?

Last year, JT sucked. Year before, Penny sucked, Year before, Porter sucked. Add in Ginn, Crowder, and MANY OTHERS.
