Has anyone really sat back and thought about how fast our offense just got? Ginn and Booker? A QB in Beck that can actually move? Throw in Martin, and the probable return of a leaner and faster Ricky? It's about flippin' time.

Ummm booker is on the trading list..

I believe he's referring to Lorenzo Booker our third round pick - who happens to run in the 4.3-4.4 range.

Martin is no faster than the guy he replaces. Chambers and Brown are pretty fast also about 4.3 to 4.4. martin at best runs a 4.6 proably like 4 .7 now.

Dude.. He's talkin Lorenzo Booker. The speedy back from FSU. And yes I am totally stoked about havin some speed on this team.

I do think we have a good combination of power and speed.. The thunder and lightning effect so to speak .. Ronnie Brown and the new fullback from Hawaii, as well as Schlesenger is the Thunder , and Ginn, Ricky now that he has lost weight, Chambers and Lorenzo Booker the lightning..
I really believe we are one very good lineman and tight end away from having a perennial top 10 offense in the NFL ..

Oh yeah. We'll be fast. I just hope we execute as well.

i believe hes talking about lorenzo booker. and hell yes i share your excitement jason8er!!
and even if he isnt talking about lorenzo, we still have chambers and marty who are a possible playmaker (chambers) and a dependable, consistent receiver (booker).
and the draft came and went finsberg, so the only way booker goes now is in a trade for trent green i would guess. i dont see him getting cut.

I hear ya' buddy. Lets go get em.

We also got us a big, powerful Mack truck on the offensive line .... a real nasty, aggressive looking one ...

He's even got a mythical strong man's name ... like the biblical story.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samson

"Samson is something of a Herculean figure, utilizing massive strength to combat his enemies and perform heroic feats unachievable by ordinary men: wrestling a lion, slaying an entire army with nothing more than a donkey's jawbone, and tearing down an entire building." :D

Here's his profile on nfl.com. It sounds pretty good to me. Mel Kiper and all the analysts said that Satele was a solid pickup for us.

http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/satele_samson

I like what I've read about him so far. I like this part of his profile:

"Has the power behind his initial burst to lock-on and gain advantage; Shows a confident, aggressive nature on the field, but takes on a good attitude and mentoring role for the younger players away from the game; Nasty, mean brawler who loves to mix it up in the trenches; Multiple-punch type of blocker, but will not get too out of control to draw penalties; Bit of a trash-talker, but based on his performance in 2006, he did a good job of backing it up"

"Compares To: LeCharles Bentley, Cleveland Browns; Like Bentley, Satele plays with true aggression and knows how to use his strong hand punch to dominate blocking in-line; He keeps his pad level down and has the short-area power base to face up and sustain; He can land and explode on defenders in closed quarters, but is inconsistent maintaining his balance when asked to block on the move."

I love the comparison to LeCharley Bentley who was a big free agent pickup last year for the Browns til he hurt his knee. He looks like he'll be a tough SOB on the line. He can talk a little trash like Porter when the offense is out there. He's from Hawaii so he'll be used to the heat in Miami too.

He's no burner, your right. Martin and McMike may have originally been even, but Martin is a speed upgrade now. Unless that this, McMike bought into Marino's diet plan during the offseason.

Yeah, I feel like we got a Ferrari...an overrated car that costs way too much, runs fast for a while, breaks down often and is incredibly expensive to maintain. Sounds about right.
