I got to throw out the first pitch at a Marlins Game (Pics)
Dont think i ever shared this with you guys but 2 years ago I got to throw out the first pitch at a Marlins game. I cant remember the date (i have it in an email somewhere) but it was vs the San Diego Padres and I did it dressed as Shrek.
My wife works in the movie industry and shes always doing promotions with the Marlins. One of her ideas (when Shrek 3 was coming out) was to have Shrek throw out the first pitch at a Marlins game and have Shrek be involved through out the whole day for activities. They agreed and my wife asked me if I wanted to do and I was like hell yeah lol. So we showed up about 2 hrs before the game to be at a booth giving out Shrek 3 promo items, I got to throw out the first pitch, I got to be in the 7th inning stretch were I threw out Shrek dolls with Billy, I did the Chicken Dance with Billy and his family and also stayed after the game for Dinner on the Diamond. The cool thing about it was they gave me an authentic personalized Marlins jersey (i had to wear it during the whole event and got to keep it) the name was Shrek and the number was 3.
Just wanted to share that with you guys, it was such an awesome experience...not many people can say they threw out the first pitch an MLB game (especially for their fav team)
