Ok, so here goes...

I'm lost on how some people come to terms with blaming Tannehill for this game, I'll explain why...

For starters, many of you said that Tannehill needed to show vast improvement from last week. That he didn't play up to par with where he needs to be, however, all that aside we still won the game.

This week, unless you are just in absolute disgust of Tannehill, cannot argue that he did in fact step up his level of play. We barely beat a Washington team last week on the road that just this week beat a St. Louis team coming off of a win against Seattle. Many said that his performance wasn't good enough against Washington.

So my question is exactly where I am leading, what is good enough?

359 YDS PASS - 17 YDS RUSH - 68% COMP - 8.9 YPA - 2 TDS / 0 INTS - 108 RATE

I mean seriously? What more can you want? He missed a couple of throws, what QB doesn't? Jacksonville is said to have a solid defense, and they do. 1st QB in 14 games to throw for over 300 yards... Tannehill continuously extended plays out and made things happen. Then you go and blame him because he couldn't go 40 yards in 40 seconds without any timeouts.

In all honesty, it is really becoming apparent how many of you are grasping at straws to try and justify your opinion of him being an absolute problem.

You say people keep dealing out excuses for him, and that is funny to me.

If you have a QB who can go on the road, deliver that type of game against a solid defense, and yet still find a way to blame him for the loss. Well, I'm just not sure if you have the rare ability to think rationally or use what we call common sense...

I mean, seriously. In everything that happened in this game I really didn't expect to see so many people laying blame at the wrong doorstep...

our defense made Bortles/Robinson look like Rodgers/Nelson. lets start there for blame

I bet this was Bortles first decent game as a pro, god I hope not

He played pretty good. When it mattered he shrunk. 4 drives in a tie game with no points, actually 5 if u count the last "drive" where he checked down on 1st down and didn't take the gimme on 4th to extend the game. U and people
Like u will be singing the same song and dance for the next 7 years. Next coach in team will
Be average, blame defense wr whatever. Our qb is above average for sure no doubt. But situational awareness is huge and he has none at all robot. Has rooms, works hard, guys respect him. Never won ever

Agreed invisible d line. Pathetic actually. Can we stop pretending wake and suh scare people?

Nobody is blaming him for not going 40 yards in 40 seconds. The blame is not getting a yard with 3 minutes, three timeouts, and 80 yards to go.

He has a moment to shine like great QBs do and it results in three negative plays including sitting in the pocket too long on the goal line and not sensing the need to get the ball off.

He was solid through two quarters and disappeared when we needed to make something happen in the 4th.

It's not that he was bad, he just proved not to be great. Again.

(And personally I'm watching Manziel toss up long TD passes while Tannehill has zero so far yet again this season. I'm thinking wth. But that's just me.)

I said a few days ago that Wake is washed up and everyone got on me. He's not even winning his one on ones like everyone said he would with Suh getting double teamed. He has 16 tackles and 3 sacks his last 9 games.

Has our run defense been good through 2 games? Yes/No

Has our pass defense been good through 2 games? Yes/No

Has our rushing offense been good through 2 games? Yes/No

Has our pass protection been good through 2 games? Yes/No

Has our Special Teams been good through 2 games? Yes/No

That's what you're asking him to win with. Expect better play and demand better play. But if you want to get pissed that he's not going out and winning the game by himself, you probably need to get a grip. This game would have been blowout territory for Jacksonville if the Jags' receivers could catch the football when running free wide open with grass in front of them.

Jarvis Landry had a couple of bonehead plays. You don't see me blaming him for the loss because he made a terrible fair catch decision and failed to secure a critical third down reception. He's still a huge net plus for our team... just like the QB.

I thought Tannehill put us on his back for most of this game, with some assists from Landry and Matthews. He made some great plays that got us back to 20-20. Yes, he missed a couple of passes that he should have made, but he also made some special plays with his feet getting away from pass rushers and made plays a lot of QBs wouldn't have.

He put us in a position to be critical of his play at the end by getting us into a position that the outcome was even in doubt. We had no running game, no pass protection, Jennings dropped an easy catch early in the game that might have led to the tying score, even Landy dropped one that would have kept a drive alive.

RT and Landry are the best things going about this team right now, and I think RT gets better every game, has room to get better and is going to continue to get better, if we don't get him killed first.

Never seen so many penalties, most of which were in the 4th qtr. That lack of run game makes this offense one dimensional. And please for gods sake stop doing play action passes out of the shotgun, especially if the run game isn't working. There was no uniqueness in the offensive or defensive play calling. It was like watching the same thing over and over. Lazor needs to open up the playbook, Tannehill needs to adjust and call audibles, and Coyle just needs to go away.....

Ryan played much better this week. The loss was not on him. Crappy play from both lines and secondary cost us, and our crappy coaches.

Tannehill did not lose this game. Our coach did. This is the first time Blake Bortles was not sacked in a game AND THEY WERE MISSING THEIR LEFT TACKLE. any coach could get a sack out of our dline. Extremely pathetic performance on D. Coyle, Philbin, and Lazor all need several kicks in the ass.

Tannehill did not lose this game. But Tannehilll did not win this game either. 80yds, 3TO's, 3 minutes. Game on.....3 and out.

And until he can throw and catch it to himself, that will never lay at the feet of only one person...
