I hate thinking about the draft already...

But that is the reality of our season. If were in position, our 1st pick, bar none, should be Joe Thomas. We need to add beef, and additude to the offensive line. This guy is a monster! We shouldn't be loooking elsewhere. Saban might act like he's looking elsewhere to try to throw other teams off. The only way we can guarentee getting him is having the first pick in the draft. If we can get him with the 1st, and a defensive lineman with the 2nd, we already would have had a great draft! Yes, I know it's only November. Here's too hoping to never talk about the draft this early again!:D
 
I wouldn't mind him at all, but it will be tough to pass on Calvin Johnson if he is available when the Dolphins pick.
 
Calvin Johnson is 6 5 and can run a 4.5...and if he does run a sub 4.5 he will be the first overall pick...
 
well i think you need to look at ck's and boomers assesment on Thomas. I tend to agree with them about Calvin Johnson that if its between Thomas and Calvin Johnson, I take CJ over Thomas anyday and pick up a tackle in round 2.

You bring up some valid points. We need to resist temptation to draft Calvin Johnson, regardless of how good he is. We have a specific need for quality players on the offensive line, namely LT and C. I dont think we will end up Johnson, I think he'll be gone when we are gonna pick.

it's never too early to startt talking about the draft. Right now it's just not as accurate since no one knows who will declare
 
eh its tough. if we pick in the Top 4...we will have a chance at Joe Thomas or Calvin Johnson...im sure Brady and Brohm will go 1 and 2. In all seriousness....u cant trust this offensive line, they arent CONSISTENT. They do well at the end of the year and then screw up in the beginning...but then again...u can pickup Calvin Johnson, and then in the 2nd round u can pickup Jake Long from Michigan...Saban may be thinking that with the help of Houck, we dont need to draft a Top 3 O-lineman.
