Trade up with the Chargers this Thursday for Elliot. We all know that the great, gluttonous Mr. T loves to trade up, and all of the rumblings out of the football internetosphere indicate that we are very interested in Elliot and are willing to move up to nab him.
I've also been reading about how the Chargers want to trade down from 3, and the Cowboys may be coveting Elliot with their 4th overall pick... To me, I hope I'm wrong, but sometimes in the NFL there are very poorly kept secrets, and the writing seems to be on the wall for this move to occurr.
I like Elliot a lot as a player, and I wouldn't necessarily be upset with him at 13, but we have so many needs on defense, and I really like these defensive prospects that will in all likelihood be available mid first round. I particularly like the pass rushers and corners (Ogbah, Spence, Lawson, Apple, Jackson).
I hope I'm wrong, but if we do trade up, selecting a back would be a huge mistake. I would hope that our target would be Bosa, Tunsil, Ramsey or Jack in a potential trade up, but I hope we either stand pat or even move down... We have a ton of holes still.

Ok, we do this, what's the hurt and pain? Miami does have a strength, believe it or not, and it's the offense, specifically qb and WR's. With the addition of Gase, that's supposed to be record-breaking this year. So an addition of EE, should make the offense better, putting the defense out on the field less. It doesn't take a rocket science to figure out that if we get elite play out of our QB, that it makes GM's geniuses for other positions. Look at the Pats, they have an elite qb, and get by with ok players on the other side of the ball. But they are over-exaggerated because they function successfully because of the Brady effect

Didn't the great glutinous Mr. T just trade down from 8 to 13?

The only way this would even be half way reasonable is if it were for Ramsey, possibly Tunsil....But Elliott no way...

Dallas really needs some help accross the D line especially with one of their players about to get suspended...

I know many here won't believe this but there are factors here OTHER THAN 'baum. Ross has said he wants a number of 'hits' in this draft, so trading up (particularly to #3) reduces the potential for hits. Gase, while he may not call the shots, certainly has his preferences and I doubt 'baum will drift too far from that. And a trade with the Chargers means EE is #3 on Miami's ('baum's) board - I doubt it.
None of this means it won't happen. We've all seen stranger things. IF the trade happens, a number of people will have to see value in the move, otherwise 'baum is the lone target if it fails. Maybe he's willing to make that gamble. We'll know soon.

He did, but he loves to make headlines (signing Tebow) and make a splash on draft day (trading up for Sanchize) regardless of how negatively the aforementioned splash affects the team.

I'd sure hope not but I do have a nervous feeling leading up to the draft. Something will happen that will leave us all pissed probably

Just don't f*** up the first round

I will eat my own head.

I'm expecting a "hmmm, well I guess that's alright" kind of reaction Thursday night.

Word on the screet is Fins love them Zeke Elliot, He will be a dolphin Thursday night, I just hope we don't have to give up too much to get him but I have a feeling we are trading up to around #8-#10 to get him.
possibly our comp 3rd round this year and 2017 2nd. Calling it right meow!
