...based on the outing today and the remaining, I think the team would finish 8-8 with the Jags loss preventing us from getting into the playoffs. Would you still keep DC then ?

If this team is 2-2 entering the bye, Philbin and Coyle may very still be here and there is no way this team would have a shot at 8-8 with them in charge

think if we win against the Jags...Ross keeps the coaching staff and rides with them for the rest of the year.

Everything happens for a reason. Please try your best and let the past go. Look forward to the future.

If we won that game philbin and Coyle would still be here. Winning that game would of come back to haunt us in the end

Bills and Jets losses will haunt us much more.
Poses an interesting question. Are the Dolphins better off with the 3 losses (2 division 1 AFC) which obviously affects the playoff tiebreaker or firing Philbin and Coyle?

It's better the way it happened . . . two and two go together here. This team wasn't going anywhere with Philbin/Coyle at the helm. They had lost the team. Those divisional losses happened for a reason . . . and it's not like we can't get back into this thing.

Yea but those two divisional losses will be huge. Think big picture here.

I mean yea, I'd rather win the divisional games . . . . but saying that, that means Philbin/Coyle wouldn't of lost the team and we wouldn't be in a position to need a change at the top. It's less about the losses and more about how the team looked in the losses . . . . they looked deflated, they looked uninspired, they looked out of position, they looked like a team that had not faith in the leadership.

If the team yesterday was the same team under Philbin/Coyle . . . then they certainly could of stayed . . . . those 2 teams are polar opposites tho.

I don't think there is an argument that could be made that the losses didn't make us a better team with the firings. I was just speaking in the grand scheme of things that in the end it's those AFC east losses will bite us because the division is so strong.
