My feeling is that Jeff Ireland will no longer be the GM of the Miami Dolphins come Friday morning. Stephen Ross has had enough cool down period to announce if these guys are coming back and he has not. Now here is where things will get interesting. Ross or the new GM will insist that Failbin fires Mike Sherman. Failbin will show his true character and throw Sherman under the bus to save his own skin, although I hope he doesn't. If he decides he does not want to fire his English teacher then he too will be shown the door which is what I would like to see. I would not be shocked at all if Eric Mangini is named the new Head Coach. Now please take this thread seriously, because I don't want to have to come back and say i told you so again because I know you guys don't like that.

Gotta love these told you so threads:lol2:

I agree, what happened on Sunday cannot go 'unpunished', even Ross realises this but please don't drop the Mangini name out there. He is niether the motivator nor football 'genius' great HCs need to be in the NFL. Mangini is more or less the vanilla Philbin mode.

Mangini Would not be my first choice either, I am in no way endorsing him. However Ross loves those attention to detail type head coaches and Mangini is that.

Do you really think you are on the cutting edge of information by saying you think Ireland is going to be fired? Have you been reading anything else on Finheaven?

I have a feeling people will start thinking about what I have already been thinking about.

And what I am going to read is nothing but claiming we should do the very thing Ireland already did! lol

I joined Finheaven in 2005. You joined in 2013. Do the math.

Mancini??? Hell no!!!!! If he's so good why is he not a head coach now???? Fire Philbin only If you upgrade significantly more.

If for nothing else, I gave you a thumbs up for pure sassiness :chuckle:

Again, I am not saying he would be MY first choice. But I would not completely dismiss him either especially if he gets himself a QUALITY staff which neither Failbin nor Sparano had. Secondly, can we all agree tht Mangini would never get swept by Belicheat and the Patriots anymore? And I am sure most of the KNOWLEDGEABLE Dolphin fans here know Mangini would fight with his last breath to beat the Jets EVERYDAY.

The fact that Mangini is an option that people are throwing around.....very, very sad and if that happens I'll see you guys in the rebuild three years from now.
