..for a long long time. I believe that we will see the Dolphins look the best they have since Marino/Shula years. This week it feels like everything is primed for a breakout game. Zach Thomas has been playing out of his skull and Jason Taylor is now becoming much more familar with this defense. Did anybody notice how many fumbles that the Bills dropped and then recovered themselves - at least 3 + Miami's minus 5 - and by all rights the Bills were bailed out by a ridiculously painful fumble. Ronnie was playing lights out before that mistake. He ran the safety over like a freight train. Ronnie the Freight Train Brown! This team has proven to itself it can play and it can win. With Ricky back it is a new day. The bye week hurt us bad. But that's ok we are about to start hitting stride. I also expect Tampa to rise to the occassion and play excellent football.

I have not expected this much from a team since - I cannot remember...And it is justified. This team is for real - a few adjustments and continue to stay healthy KNOCK WOOD - and this team TAKES OFF!

The only thing i think holding us back is penalties, other than that i think we shown that we are a VERY good football team in all phases, nobody has beat us this year, the jets or the bills we beat ourselves both times. if we can just put a cap on the offsides and false starts that will be a HUGE start then you can start working on the Pass interference and other stupid penalties

I've been thinking this ever since the draft. F/A and T/C simply reinforced to me we are about to get things ROLLING. I've never seen this much talent collected on any Dolphin team in my lifetime (32). And, with the moves I keep seeing Saban make, I can't help but think the reigns have been held back about as long as they can be.

I've been unforgiving to Ronnie, Chambers and the secondary in the past 4 games. It's not because I'm impossible to please. It's because, unlike the "wait 'till next year" guys, I see this year as THE year. No one sees us coming. And.... we have a lot of 1 year guys around. But, the talent we been VERY FORTUNATE to amass for THIS year is simply hard to imagine. Once more, it's how we've amassed it: CHEAPLY.

I'm unforgiving to Ronnie and Chambers because I know how important each game is. Sure, we will have "off" games. But, when you can STILL win while having an off day.... you don't shrug your shoulders and say "we'll be better next game".... you rise above and overcome. That's the mark of a champion.

I know guys look at the well oiled elite teams and think how far we have to go. I look at well oiled predictability versus an unknown with nothing to lose. THIS is the year we reclaim the East. You simply don't have this kind of luck every year (F/As, other team's injuries, overloaded talent).

Minus penalties and BEGGING for the O-line to finally stabilize (because I KNOW it can), there's not one team in the NFL I feel can field more talent than we can at this very moment. There's nothing on paper we cannot compensate for.... we have the players, we have the coaches... it's only a matter of everyone getting on the same page. I simply hope "that day" comes this week. WHEN we make it to the playoffs this year.... we are capable of going as far as we want.....

I know their are some optimistic pessimists out there getting ready to slander this "blind" hope..... but I've been around long enough to know you don't have this much talent and coaching assembled in this league very often.....

There are "sign posts" to a team about to make a run.... coaching, players, lack of injuries, other teams suffering injuries and the inexplainable occurrence of the team being in every game, no matter how "bad" a day they are having.....

If you'll pay attention to how bad we've played in some games... you'll notice, the game is still ours to win. The pieces are all on the table for us to put together. This can be our year. I'm not going to predict a record to justify my feelings... but I will say this, this team has the talent to beat the best team in the AFC on any given day.. no matter who that is. And, at some point this year, we'll have a chance to prove it.

Don't worry about how "difficult" our schedule is about to become. Pay attention to how well a "rebuilding" team plays against those "elite" teams. See if you can't notice the opportunities for us to win. Then, see if we in fact do win.

I will continue to slam Ronnie and Chambers when they deserve it... there's simply too much to lose this year for them not to overcome and step up to their billings. It's not about being a rookie or being double covered every down... it's about seeing your "chance" to be great and seizing it.

I'm the loudest guy when we score... and the angriest guy when we lose. But, I'm a BIG PHAN.

We HAVE to correct the penalties and turnovers or this is a mute point......................

We've already beaten the best team in the AFC twice this year.....we beat ourselves against the jets and bills:eek:

the thing im thinking is that it has to get better... we are in a new system, new players, new coaching... these penalties can be from learning new schemes, getting caught out of position, and the excitement these players seem to have and the desire to prove that they are a great team causing people to jump offside or be too aggressive etc...

but they HAVE to come down... we will not maintain an average of 13 penalties a game, NO WAY that will keep it, it will come down... and our turnovers should come down as people grasp the system better and better... and our defense should only get better as they learn and play in it more and more...

and even with that room for growth we have looked like a good team, we're 2-2 against 4 good teams (jets and bills count as good when they are playing at home)... we have only one way to go and thats up more... im excited and stil lhave playoff hopes

i agree guys...this is also my first post.

I am 19 years old and have been following this team closely for the past 10 years. never have i felt the energy that this team has now under nick saban. i have to admit, when we hired saban, i had my doubts b/c we were so willing to give a college coach so much say-so in what happens with this organization, but now i think we got so lucky to get him...the guy obviously knows what he is doing, just listen to him talk and compare him to wannstedt (no offense). i believe that this team has an ora coming about it kinda like the pats have developed in new england. i believe that saban is well on his way in building a powerhouse franchise that will stay atop the nfl for the next decade at least. i can just feel it.

I like everyone's optimism. I hope you are all correct in Miami getting ready to break out this week.

I like to chime in on these positive threads... we need more. I think everyone hopes for the best for our team. But, sometimes you can just "feel" energy and momentum being generated by a team.

I honestly think many of the guys are committing penalties because they also sense it... and they are wanting to deliver excellence within the new system... they are simply out thinking themselves.

Soon.... it will happen soon. I've never been more sure of anything.

I agree until the penalties are solved the rest of the issues are moot.

I'm with ya. This is the most hope I've had in quite a while. Even with the penalties. Yes, they make me want to pull my hair out, but I just have a feeling that they're being comitted out of overly aggressive play...just too much anxiousness. They just need to settle down and accept that threre is a happy median between trying too hard and not trying hard enough. The ONLY thing I see wrong with this team right now, and if we're all being honest with ourselves, that's a problem we should be happy to have four games into a "rebuilding" year. Instead of being a bad team that plays clean ball, we're a very good team that is playing sloppy. I'll take the latter with a coach like Saban. Definitely fixable.
