We were so stupid for not taking him last year but I wonder if its not too late. What do you think it would take for us to make a trade happen? Would swapping our first with one of their firsts get it done?

NE is not trading mallet to a division rival unless he really sucks. I assume it would take a minimun 2nd and a 3rd if they did it but they have no reason to move him and always have plenty of draft picks. We should have took him last year but you know how low on totem pole qb is here. He was a better prospect than any but the top 2 this year

Adam Schefter is reporting that Ryan Mallett would rather remain as a backup QB behind superstar Tom Brady than play for the Miami Dolphins.

Let's move on to Plan X.

whats next Daunte turning us down to go to the Sacramento Mountain lions because their front office seems more stable.

Just sign Hoyer to an offersheet NE can't match and boom you have a QB.

Also IMO Hoyer fits a WCO more than Mallett does.

Yeah Hoyer probably makes more sense but I'm still upset at how everything unfolded last year, Ireland digs a hole by getting rid of all our RBs so we have to draft one instead of drafting Mallett who was sitting right there in the second.

Yep, I'm still very bitter.

hmm..
Qb on a team with a Hall of Fame Qb
+
Division rival universally known for needing a franchise Qb
+
Division rival with recently aquired draft picks from giving away their best player
+
worst bargaining GM in the NFL
=
The charges of rape could end up worse than what Kobe had filed against him.

Do you seriously think NE would deal us a Qb if they thought he was a franchise Qb prospect?? If NE even accepts the phone call,
you immediately mark RMallett off your list...

never a big ronnie fan but he took a 1 million dollar contract, surely he would have been a decent guy to keep at that price or ricky cheap

I also think trading up to get Thomas showed that they were not so sure about Bush which made sense with his past
