I am pretty sure the dolphins are gonna finish 9-7 just like last year, so my ? is has a 9-7 team every made the playoffs?
 
Yes, a numerous amount of times.

Sorry I have to laugh. :lol: Dunno if it was a serious question or not.
 
9-7 teams do make it. In fact I believe that Miami made it in 99' with a 9-7 record. Teams have made it in the past at 8-8 and even 7-9. However, the AFC is too dominate this year to have a 9-7 team make it.
 
Actually in the 2002 season...Miami, NE & the Jets were all tied at 9-7 but the Jets had the tie breaker and I believe that year one wildcard was also at 9-7.

Tis True.

With how the AFC is playing this year it might even be possible to miss the playoffs going 10-6. Last year Jags made the Widcard with a 12-4 record and that was only wildcard. AFC over powers NFC like SEC to Big 10.
 
How the heck did that happen? How can one conference be so much better than another? If the Browns were in the NFC, they probably wouldn't be one of the worse teams. How on Earth can that be possible? I'm stunned by it all and need a sit down.

Yeah, 9-7 teams always made the playoffs, but that was back in the day when the AFC wasnt as strong as it is now...Maybe like 5 - 10 years ago
 
Ok i looked

Right now there is 5 teams that are 7-5 and we are 5-7 with 4 games left so i know the chances are very very slim but if we win out and these teams loose 2 or more games we actually could make it into the playoffs (Im just trying to keep hope alive) hey ya never know the pats could loose out and we could be tied with them
