I have to give Mr. Ross credit for something

I have been all over Ross since the inception of the Orange Carpet to forcing the team to see a play last year while in NYC.

However, I will give him credit for having the foresight of thinking Jim Harbaugh could coach in the NFL. The guy is obviously a fit and his team could easily be undefeated right now.

Unfortunately, he could not close the deal.

I do not want to hear the company line of that Harbaugh was never offered the job. That is BS. So I guess that leaves to another criticism from me...CLOSE THE DEAL, ROSS!

HOPEFULLY, what ever help he got last winter is there again this winter when finding a head coach.

EXACTLY. so shouldnt this temper some of the vitriol that Ross has endured here??? HE MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE - but harbaugh was NEVER leaving CALIFORNIA if he didnt have to.

Ross recognized change was needed. he recognized someone that could initiate change, and had the qualities he was looking for in a head coach. give the guy some credit.

well have a new guy next year. and it will be ross's FIRST HEAD COACHING HIRE. so the Ross era begins next year.
 
i love ross going to talk to harbaugh. who knows if the job was offered or not, or if harbaugh wanted to stay in cali or not? ross just needs to learn to keep such things private.

he will. obviously the guy gets it. hes taken an awful lot of heat but please tell me something hes done that hes not actually been on the right path about? the celebrity thing? he takes heat for trying to bring in harbaugh??? are u kidding me???? that was a SMART MOVE not dumb. so what - he got caught, and didnt think he would SO WHAT. he was done with sparano, and WHO CARES about sparano feelings???? how many MILLIONS did sparano get BECAUSE he had his feelings hurt???? SMART MOVE - cost him some money, but thats about it.

publicly stating he wants an exciting team??? WE DO TOO!!! are u kidding me??? the word OFFENSE around here since marino left has come to mean field goals and punts. thats sparanos idea of offense, and its OFFENSIVE. the team has been boring as hell for years. its s florida and it doesnt fit the team, the city, the atmosphere, the weather. we need offense to win. need an identity.

yes ill give u the gator thing. but whats OVERLOOKED is they WANTED to give tribute to the university of miami as well. draw in the entire STATE OF FLORIDA. nothing wrong with that. it just turned out differently than the intention. so give him **** if u want. but why didnt miami want to honor previous champions?? good intentions - less than desirable result. BUT the intended result - to draw fans to the stadium - on that day will have worked, this should have worked out better than it did.

maybe i missed something - but please come up with something that CLEARLY ross blew. he hasnt had his chance to put his stamp on this team yet. hes paying for the failures OF THE PAST. and NOT the present

he tried. he thought it would be private. media found out somehow, and ran with it. perhaps harbaughs people in order to provide leverage for his new contract - just speculation. but there is motive. AND it would have worked.

how did the media find out?? ross WANTED it private. it was even reported he wasnt aware it would get out like that
 
This shows that he wanted a real coach and he identified an individual correctly.

Harbough is gonna be at 49er coach for a while too.
 
Ross was correct in trying to replace Sparano. The failure in doing so could work out in our favor though. If you had to pick between Harbaugh and Luck, you'd choose Luck 100 times out of 100. We likely wouldn't be in the running for Luck with Harbaugh. Harbaugh and Jones though, ahh the possibilites are endless.
 
harbaugh and henne, or gruden/cowher/fisher/who knows and andrew luck? you may be correct, that this could turn out better for us.

EXACTLY. not sure why all the heat.. THIS WORKS IN OUR FAVOR. ross WANTED to replace the guy. the timing wasnt right and it didnt work out. either sparano righted the ship or he fell flat on his face. cream rises. sparano fell flat - no surprises. as u can see we didnt go on a free agent spending spree and jeopardize the future (THANK GOD) we turned down a 3 year contract to Orton (thank God). didnt extend Soliai (good move - at this stage). the stage is set for a new regime, and the new guy is going to be in a position to succeed. gotta find a franchise QB - and that is CLEAR to everyone involved in this organization at this point. we WILL draft a QB in the first round this coming year

well for one, the whole not wanting the Fins to play early games in sept. in the heat is just plain stupid Miami's heat is the same advantage as Buffalo's cold, how many years did they get up early with the help of their conditioning...........

i think coach is most important Archie manning was a helluva qb and u know how things turned out for him

well I guess the people that told me I was an idiot cause i said harbaugh would have more victroies than Sparano this year feel quite small lol
