He went to get a real coach and failed.

thats a good point. perhaps the only justifiable criticism. BUT, if u look at that home game earlier where the weather was a factor - u see the stadium is empty (not that it wasnt anyways) BUT a TON of people were back out of the sun under the stadium by the vendors watching the game. and u see that WE WERE the team cramping on opening night - would have been worse if it was a day game.
this one cuts BOTH ways tho. for years we were great EARLY in the season and TERRIBLE at the end. a season takes its toll on the body, and there IS something to be said for not wearing this guys out before THE REAL SEASON begins. this crap about the bubble is just that CRAP!! ill give sparano a lot of ****. one thing HE DOES NOT DESERVE crap for is using that bubble. there were no supervised workouts this year. the PLAYERS werent ready.
if were the better team, he time games are played doesnt matter. its better for the fan experience and ticket sales for the games to be played later. there are a TON of people that WILL NOT go to games in the day. yes none of us. BUT its true for some. it perhaps takes away a competitve advantage in a normal year. it simply doesnt matter unless we are talented enough to win

he didnt get rid of sparano because HE WASNT PREPARED TO MAKE A COACHING CHANGE UNLESS IT WAS HARBAUGH. thats NOT a bad thing. thats good business. he identified a target and went after it. then went to plan B. he didnt think his meeting was going to be discovered. in all honesty WHY WOULD IT???? if HE didnt publicize it?? the only thing he did was underestimated the media in the social age. or he underestimated what harbaugh had to gain from that information becoming public. one way or another it just DOESNT MATTER. sparano got paid. and well get a new guy next year with a draft pick in a position to take a QB

I was just about to write the same thing. Jim H. got those guys playing well WITH Alex smith. No one saw that coming.
i did. harbaughs a great coach. incredible passion and toughness. and hes something sparano can learn something from. HE INSPIRES CONFIDENCE IN HIS PLAYERS. remember how this regime essentially threw henne under the bus before he even had a start last year? creating doubt? harbaugh was the opposite. just LOOK how he TREATS smith. **** look at how ryan has handled sanchez in new york. and sanchez has sucked perhaps as much as henne. perhaps even worse (and yes sanchez can make some throws once in a while i get it). sparano is just a poor coach. and how he handled the quarterback situation is just another example. the guy doesnt instill confidence. SOMETHING THAT IS CRITICAL in a head coach. parcells was an idiot for ever thinking he was head coach material. but we know how much parcells understands about "buying the groceries" anyways. hed be better off with an automatic checkout lane

i can totally feel where your coming from with that...i was at the giants/seahawks game today and it was only 85 degrees and i was roasting out there. Everyone was.
Ive gone to many dolphins practices over the last several years when im down there on vacation and that sun is absolutely brutal in Florida. I go down to Florida in late July/early August usually and im sure the temps are similar to what its like in september.

Doesn't surprise me that Harbaugh is succeeding in San Francisco. He's got the NFL coaching chops that Moron0 will NEVER EVER come close to having. Jim Harbaugh just "gets it."
no surprise AT ALL. the guys a leader! "captain comeback" for a REASON. love some of the suggestions like "andy reid" LMFAO the guys doesnt possess any leadership and u can tell in his press conferences. hes not DYNAMIC. people talk about the quarterback position like this. SAME THING WITH HEAD COACH. some brilliant ideas running around here like "andy reid" "jeff fisher" lets go find the next sparano blah blah blah... GARBAGE.. we have a DYNAMIC head coach right in front of us THATS PROVED IT. wake up folks
Harbaugh wasn't leaving California IMO. Ross did all that he could, I'm optimistic he will choose the right people to change things around. We as fans deserve something good.
what kinda sense does that make? he only lived right down the street from candlestick, rooted for the niners growing up, and would coach a team whose division winner had a 7-9 record last year, and not a single established franchise QB in the division. why on earth would he want to stay there to start his career than compete against tom brady?
