Been a die hard fins fan since I was about 10 in 1988… the years of disappointment, underachievement, losses, losses in big games, extracurricular bullshit with the FO etc is a lot for us fans…
So for my own mental well-being, and knowing that this team will likely not change too much personnel wise over the next year, I’m tempering my expectations. I’m hoping with further tweaks offensively, and more offensive comfort and familiarity these issues may get worked out and next season will be better- we still have two games and possibly the playoffs to go, and I’m gonna try to remain hopeful… although that is tough right now

I have supported Tua, and will continue to do so. I will continue to support McDaniel as well- but they certainly haven’t inspired confidence the last few weeks… but they will be here in 2023, whether or not you like it

The truth is there is not likely going to be any substantial personnel changes- we don’t have the assets for it. There has been a lot of good and bad this year-but I still dunno if Tua is it- right now I don’t feel it, but if he wins the next 2 with similar play earlier in the season, I could get in the hype train again, although I am much more guarded now…

Just want I send out my sympathy to all fin fans right now- the true fans deserve a better product on the field… to the hardcore fans who have dealt with this for decades- I feel your pain man… let’s keep hanging in- supporting each other on this forum and try to keep positive- enjoy the rest of your holidays folks

If we get in to the playoffs, IF.. My hopes are that they somehow play like they played during the 5 game win streak, when the offense was unstoppable and the defense was serviceable. A BIG IF, but it’s all we got, and I’m goin with it..

I'm in a small minority, but, I agree, not many changes and not many needed to get noticeably better. I'm not saying all needs can be filled with minimal work, but the team can get better with an ILB, OT, TE, CB (assuming ByJones is gone in '23). There are more needs, but those are my top. Secondary can be good getting all starters back. And, yes, I want more upgrades, but give me those 4 at a minimum. I feel most here would be much happier with Needham, Jones, ByJones, and the other 3 upgrades I noted THIS year.

I think once we win next Sunday some of “Keyboard Warriors” will stop being so negative.
When win the next 2 games, they will be praising all things Dolphins and saying their faith never wavered and that Tua is the best QB ever.
Its sadly amusing to observe How bipolar some people are.

Serious fans can see we are a young team going through adversity and missing some pieces. However, we have much more talent then in recent memory and we will continue to improve with experience. I still believe in Tua (and I’m on the record as having wanted Herbert) and coach McDaniel.

Phins Up.

We all know that the defense has "issues", but when it comes to the offense, I can step back and see a lot of good things and plenty of potential. They have the most explosive WR duo in the league. Wilson Jr, and Mostert at RB are decent, but I'd like to see a big, strong power back too. The o-line is still a work in progress, but at least it's somewhat improved from last season, and they could use a "real" TE. However, McDaniel is a complete failure when it comes to making adjustments on offense to counter what the defense is doing. And, IMO Tua is not a franchise QB. He looks to be a system QB that is only good when everything is perfect and he can get rid of the ball quickly to his first read. I think that if they get someone else to call plays and make adjustments, and replace Tua with a bigger, stronger QB who can improvise and make something happen when the play breaks down, then they could be something special. I thought that this offense could be special with what they did early in the season, but apparently defenses figured them out and McDaniel is clueless as to what to do about it, and I don't think Tua has "it" at all.

Some of the hot Tua takes are ridiculous. He had one bad quarter mixed in with two tough games (team flop vs SD, jitters SF) and one very good game (Bills).

Maybe the so-called fans should watch the Texans, Broncos, Steelers, Titans, Jets, NE, Rams, Saints, Cardinals, Browns, Colts, Falcons, Panthers, Bucs, Giants and Raiders if they want to see what terrible QB is.

Give this man a pass. He may or may not have hit ceiling but let's give him a ****ing chance.

I wanted Smith. We got Chubb. How many game winning plays let alone play making plays has he made? I'm seeing zero. 100m bucks. Sorry but im seeing a pattern of failure

If they win the next two games, they will get the praise they deserve. When you lose 4 in a row, you get the chit you deserve. That's how life is, and should be. It's professional football, not little league. If you went to work and did a crappy job for a month, if you were not fired, you would certainly catch some crap from your boss, or cutsomers. I believe everyone here is a serious fan, or they wouldn't be so upset.

At this point... Im just letting it play out and I'll form an opinion after the fact... Make the playoffs and be competitive or win a playoff game and its a successful season for me.
True. That really was my hope at the beginning of the year. Make the playoffs and show well.
