roy williams would look great in a miami jersey. since there is a rumor going are that he is on the trading block, then we have to imagine him in a miami jersey. he is one of the best WR's when healthy. and better yet ted ginn decided to go with number 19 instead of number 11, roy's number. he and ginn would be a great combo.

lets hope this rumor to be true cuz i think tuna AND ireland would go after him

Yeah for the right price, this would be a nice addition.

Although our second priority, behind putting together the rest of our staff (At least according to Don Tony in his first media sit down) is QB.

The question is, what are the Lions looking to get in return? I doubt they would let him go for anything lower than a 2nd round pick and they may even be looking for a 1st after all the failed 1st round attempts at drafting WR's they've had. He's big, young and productive, so his value is pretty high IMO.

The next question is, would we be better off meeting those demands or keeping the pick and trying to fix other areas on the team? We won't be a playoff team for at least 2 years (a reasonable timeframe considering the turnover from the hybrid D to Parcells 3/4), so should we invest a high pick on a player who will be almost 30 when we are ready to fight for the playoffs? Or should we sign a guy via FA (Bryant, Berrian, etc) and use the picks on D?

I'd love to have him, but I'm not sure it's a wise move at this point.

ya they will talk QB first cuz we only have 1 under contract right (beck) cleo's is up and trent is hanging them up (i believe).

Well you know they HAVE to get rid of him in order to justify taking another WR in the first this year. I figure we can get him for a 7th rounder. :winkwink:

He'd be perfect opposite Ginn. His size, personality and toughness are a great fit. He's only got a year left on his contract so you'd want him to re-up first but coming off a bad season for him Id give them our third in a heartbeat.

well, he'd be like a chris chambers... with hands!!! his hands are a nice complement to ted's blazing speed.

i dont understand why the lions are so willing to trade him hes been there best wr can somone fill me in

I could be wrong but I think I remember hearing that both he and Kevin Jones want out of Detroit and may demand a trade.

I agree. Roy Williams would be a nice addition. He is one of my favorite Wide Outs in the league. He has the ability to be both a possession and a big play receiver which would be great traits to help a young QB. Then again we have to first find out what they are looking to get in return.
