I haven't seen this mentioned before...

whole bunch of people who seem to have bumped their heads on the main forum these days...

If the best we can to get them the ball is Moore, none of those 3 are going to be satisfied, and you get 2 of the top head cases in the last 10 years tearing up the locker room. I would say we can leave the 35+yr old wideouts alone and try to move forward.

I wouldn't mind if the dolphins cant find a #2 Wr, it all depends what the dolphins are looking for at the Wr position. If we try to take a shot on T.O then why not get randy moss?

I think Moss would just quit mid season. T.O. has never been a quitter... just a prima donna. Hell...maybe both are worth a look only because they are great talents that could be had for cheap.

I'm not saying T.O. should be the only option, but what would it hurt to give him a workout? Hell, I'd think Marshall would be all for it just because he'd find himself open more often. If the Dolphins draft say, Blackmon, then this is all moot. However, one of our needs is another WR and T.O. is proven and would be cheap. If he starts acting like a fool then he gets cut. No harm, no foul.

I say bring in TO and Moss so that Peyton has 3 big targets to throw to...

If we go after any big name free agents receivers I would go for Mike Wallace. The Steelers are in tough spot cap wise. They will either franchise him or try to sign to a long term deal. But with little cap space he is vulnerable to being poached by a team with more cap space. A large signing bonus could make a deal that the Steelers couldn't match. And it would weaken the Steelers team that always is ahead of us in the race for those few playoff spots.

Now that would be a receiving trio with marshal, Wallace and Bess. That would be sick.

How much would Wallace cost though? I think he's an awesome WR, but could the Dolphins afford him?

Why not give Favre a call to throw to them? Every play could be a hail mary down the field for Marshall, Moss, or TO to haul in!

Marshall and Owens would never be able to co-exist on the same team.
They would be constantly fighting over diva issues.
" Thats my hair brush" etc etc.

Since his franchise number is around $9M I would suspect he is looking for a 5 year 35-40M contact. Whether the Steelers can move around enough money to make room for it is the question. Even if they do a team with more cap space is able to offer a larger signing bonus and blow away the Steelers offer with more gauranteed money.

It really depends on what happens in the QB situation as to whether we could afford him. If we go after Flynn or Manning and get either one then we probably don't have the money. But what if we loose out on both and are stuck with Moore for one more year. Then you have the money to go get him. The 8th or 9th pick isn't going to get RGIII. So give it away for a proven star that make Moores chances of succeeding much better. Then take a another QB in the second or third round.

How about we worry about getting a QB and a Few guys to protect him first!!! T.O. and Moss were locker room risks when they were Elite!!! Why would we bring them in now??? Washed up headaches are the last thing we need. Marshall is a pain sometimes but at least he's in his prime!!!

Yeah, I've never really been a proponent for T.O., but maybe it took him getting shunned from the NFL to wake him up?

T.O. has been a cancer everywhere he's been. If bouncing around the NFL didn't wake him up...nothing will. You can't fix stupid.

Now, before I get cruxified, hear me out.

T.O.

*ducks*

Yes, that T.O. Sign him. Why? Well, he's cheap, he's motivated, and he's a (still) very good WR. He's obviously in shape. I know...I know. Team Chemistry and all of that. But, if the Dolphins land a QB that they need to further develop, or even if they decide to (attempt to) develop Moore, what better way to do that than to give him not one, but two, giant threats as WR? Big, easy targets that don't just get open, they create openess. Yes, thye both drop the ball, but they both make incredible catches. Having them on the field makes any other possible receiver better too.

Now, I realize it's a risk. I realize teams didn't beat down TO's door last season, but why not? Why not sign him to an incentive laden contract? If he meets those incentives we ALL win. If he doesn't, no harm, no foul. He's gone and forgotten. I doubt he wouldn't take just about any offer right now. We've heard about his money problems. He needs it. And he'll know that if he plays hard he'll get it.

Chris, please don't take this personally, but this is the worst idea I've ever heard of. You can't bring in a past his prime, jackwagon, cancer like TO.
