MIAFANSQUARED
Practice Squad
This is from a Cardinal fan on another board. I asked how good Eric Green was and whether or not Miami helped themselves and this is what I got.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
OH MY GOD NO
I KINDA LIKE THE DOLPHINS, I WOULD NEVER HAVE WISHED THIS FATE ON THEM
Works cannot express how simply AWFUL he is. Oh my god, I just want to rip my hair out thinking of this guy. He is disgustingly bad. If there was a stat for cornerbacks that tell you how many times they would give up on a play, he'd rank at the very top. Seeing this guy for the past 3 years have brought nothing but anger. He has the athletic ability to be one of the best, but the simple fact is that he is probably one of the worst corners I've seen, and I've watched Tom Knight play.
This is Eric Green's gameplan:
-Get burned
-Cry about it
-Fake injury after burned
-When the ball is in the air, don't look for it. You're job is to tackle, not go for the ball.
-Take advantage of the coaches by saying that you may be bad, but you have no other option but to play me
-Go on about how fast you run a 40 time and how fluid your hips are. Ignore the fact that you get burned at least three times per game.
It is rare that you find a corner that can cause you to lose a game all on his own power, he is one of those rare corners. He doesn't deserve a spot on an NFL roster, hell, he'd be a decent backup CFL corner at best.
To further illustrate how bad he is, look at the corners on the AZ roster in the 2008 season: DRC, Rod Hood, Ralph Brown, Michael Adams, Eric Green. DRC is amazing, Rod Hood would make as a good nickle, but from there on the rest of the guys are STers at best and would be on the practice squad if they were on a team that has decent (not good, decent) corners. Eric Green went from start in 2008 and worked his way through the depth chart down to inactive, meaning a bunch of scrublets beat him out.
tl;dr: he sucks.
And this guy is very very knowledgeable on the Cards and was a fan before the Super Bowl run. If this is true and I did more research on other boards and all Cards fans say this. Then what the hell was Miami thinking? Sure we need CBs but why not just use the first 3 picks we have and use 2 on CBs?
